This, all of this, 100%. What I thought about was, if Alex is bringing TO offerings (Perhaps Amy, bearded dude, assuming an attempt on Jay based off of Entry 38, etc), how does the story Alex was telling Jay ion 38 correlate with what we just saw? I have a few speculations swirling around in my head, but I don't know how intelligent they sound.

In regards to the quality of the video itself, I cringed and got a pit in the bottom of my stomach. I predicted something like this happening, and I still dreaded seeing it.[/spoiler]

Yeah, I feel kind of like vomiting right now.

I gotta say; just re-watched #38 and it is significantly creepier after having seen this. I'm uncomfortable already.

Since he says to Bruce "I told you not to follow me" i think its clear that he was talking to a human and not to the Operator. It is proboblyt not directed at jay either since he sees J and does nothing to stop him.

No, I think it is directed at Jay. I think this video marks the point where Alex officially loses it. He's been dancing on the edge of insanity for a while and he took the plunge in this entry.

Yes this is tottally true. Alex is gone nuts now. Hes eatin too many coco puffs.

k well im on the east coast. Night all. Speculate tomorrow.

They're not martial artists. One's a hapless passerby and the other is a tunnel-dwelling, paranoid, (and apparently batcrap crazy) filmaker. Like most every other action in the show, the fight between them looked like how a real fight like that would go.

No, a real fight looks like two people fighting. This fight looks like a ton of blurry shots of someone's shirt. Big difference.

It wasn't much of a fight. It was Alex bum rushing him, attempting to strangle him, and doing so. Given that our view is from Alex's shirt, Bruce's chest is about all we -should- see. You haven't a leg to stand on.

Do you not know that this is fictional? My point is that the scene shouldn't have been done like that in the first place. It's an opinion, and I'm not going to change my mind when the only response I get is people saying "no you're wrong".

I don't hate the entry or the way it's done, but there are plenty of positive opinions as it is. Much more valuable to say that I think it could have been better. Because I can envision ways that it could have been.

The Operator's silhouette is visible in the video distortion around 2:35 when Alex loses the chestcam. Anyone care to screen-grab it?

Look at the right side of the tunnel at 3:34 you can see the operator twitching

Okay, Yeah, I see that. I can't tell what it is at all. I don't think it's the Operator but something is moving back and forth in the background.

Could someone tell me what that movement is at the very bottom/right side of the tunnel (where the bright white of the foliage meets the green of the trees) after the heavy distortion but before Alex brings over the rock (3:30-3:50).
I have no idea what it could be, but it's very unsettling.

I saw it immediately and thought it was the operator, but after staring at it I think it's just a branch waving in the wind.

I think maybe not so much a branch as tall grass.

When I drag the timeline to 3:34 (or in that area), I get some kind of NaN:NaN notation. Has Youtube decided to fuck with me tonight, or is this some standard weirdness that I've just never encountered before now?

What the hell? I see it, too.

Your problem's with the whole series then, not that one scene. It's fictional, but presented as a real occurance. A choreographed fight scene would have been ridiculously out of place. Don't care about changing your opinion, merely going to continue to express mine, same as you.

The tape that Jay tried to steal from Alex directly follows Entry #38. It holds the answers.

Probably not, at the end of this, Jay says "I thought you said you were done helping me," which is likely referencing the argument in Entry #47. If what follows this is 38, then #47 and #46 happened before this.

But you forget, The Big O can control time. They both happened before eachother.

I don't buy that unless it leaves time for Alex to go back in time and impregnate Tim's mother with Masky.

And you know this is setup like it's not staged or rehearsed right?

Y'know in 38 when Alex tells the story? How does Alex know that story? He does not show any signs of having done the research to know it in any of the other entries. He seems pretty clueless about tall, dark, and spooky, actually. What if 38 is not Alex talking at all? What if it's the Operator talking through Alex? Alex has started distorting cameras and he's been taking some very Slender like poses lately. I think somehow Alex is a link between this plane and whatever plane Slendy inhabits. And Slendy wants to cross over with us. Permanently.

It's sucky and hastily made, but it had to be done. For Bruce

Edited to add larger pic.

It wasn't even SUPPOSED to be a fight. It was Alex beating up the bearded gentleman. He wasn't fighting back as far as I know. Poor guy though.
