Civil reopens the Crucible

As of tonight, Civil has reopened the Crucible Round One Challenges to any who wish to participate.

We haven't heard from ARC of late. It is possible that he may re-open his game, as well. I'll make sure that someone updates it here if it happens.

As an aside, I'm Singer, or Steph, one of the players who's been with this ARG from close to the start, and I've got vacation for the next fifteen days, so anyone who's interested in catching up on the plotstuffs, I'll probably be around the mibbit chat a lot and can answer questions.

This is my first ARG, and I've been having a blast with it. The characters are very interactive. There are a /lot/ of them, but it all sorts itself out, and it makes me smile in my heart.

Stalked Proxy

I think I'm going to try to check in on this thread and update it when something open is going on.

This is the first of two updates on things that are happening now surrounding the Crucible, while we're waiting for challenges to be judged and new ones to be issued.

Andrew_L, a Slenderman Proxy who occasionally drops in on the Crucible Chat, has been getting cryptic messages in handwritten binary. (A proxy getting stalked. Wutwut.) Cruser Needs Our Help

By ways and means, the player Crusergirl ended up host to Crusher, the Sin of Envy.

In short, Cruser left her body behind to Crusher, and she is in pieces. She's trying to gather herself back together. To do that, she needs to perform a ritual. One of her pieces is stuck in a time loop at the moment when Crusher rose. It's getting dire because Crusher has located her and is attacking her again.

She needs at least five people present in the Crucible chat to complete the ritual to restore herself. She has said she'll most likely be available at 7 AM and 7 PM US Central time to complete the ritual. She needs us to coordinate, to come together. We aren't sure what the ritual entails, but here's hoping we can all come together around her.

So, this is the plan: Anyone who is available, come to the Crucible Chat at 7 AM or 7 PM Central, every day until there's enough of us to save her. The more, the merrier, I say. Come help us!

Updated Resources

A couple of people who've come into the mibbit chat mention the wiki site. That site is defunct, no longer updated. If you want clearer, up-to-date info on the happenings, check the WetPaint site.

If you have been playing, but you lost track, the "Current Events" page is pretty handy to know which characters are where. 'Cause... there are a lot of 'em.

I've also been asked when the best time to be in the mibbit chat is, and the truth is that it varies. The character Allison tends to be around a lot, and she's friendly and answers questions. Dante comes and goes at all hours, and the Sins seem to pass through whenever they want to. When I'm online, I tend to just hover in there because... it's fun when folks show up--players and characters alike.

If something's going to happen, though, on average it happens between 8 PM and 1 AM US Eastern Time. (I'm in Japan, so... this guesstimation of time might be a bit off one way or another.)

My plan is, if something's going down and I know it in advance, I'll try and keep y'all informed. Not everyone can hover, after all.

Crucible Challenge Questions

Civil has been doing scores for the Crucible Challenges, results thus far available on the tumblr.

A couple of good questions got asked, so making the answers clear for anyone.

1) You do /not/ have to submit the entry form to submit challenges, but Civil does appreciate it if you do.

2) There is currently no deadline for Round One challenges. Anyone may join and participate. Whether or not this stands for the rest of the rounds remains to be seen.

3) Round One Challenges may be submitted in any order.

General updates otherwise.

Pseudomuse returned to the chat today with no memory of last night's events. Seems that the Slenderman wiped his memory.

Allison is, confirmed, being stalked by the Eye. She blames herself for the attack on CPIRA where REC was injured in early December. The Eye's proxy/follower/thing (TheWatcher) has made it clear. COR, head of CPIRA, does blame Allison for the events, as is evidenced on his tumblr.

Russel is confirmed in New York, awaiting CPIRA's decision on his fate. They'll make up their minds about what to do with him by New Year's Day.

We had the great pleasure of helping Cruser find herself and pull herself out of that past moment.

Chat Log of the events

Cruser is still stuck somewhere outside her body, however. We're still trying to figure out how to get her back into her body, with Crusher/Envy inside of it. Cruser believes that her compass is the key, but that means we have to figure out some way to get the compass back.

CPIRA has decided to (finally) get up and do something more about what's going on. COR, CPIRA's leader, has declared a hunt on all the Fears. We'll see how this goes. Heh.
