I don't think it would be so hard to catch up right now, and new blood would be good to mix things up and solve that darn crossword puzzle puzzle...

Would it be appropriate to start a "catch up" thread on the Archeron area to help us get caught up without us being a PITA on the other threads?

i will take this time to make the following statement that my lawers handed to me yesterday:

this was my first ARG. i have now tasted blood. i will most likely try to catch up and join the Archon ARG soon.

and like so many others, i will make the open statement that i too would love to be a PM in another game. and remember, i am a freelance writer, so you know that i could be good to you all. you know it. i also have connections. look in my sig. whats down there. oh yeah, i was on a team to make a video game mod. sure the project died shortly after i took over as commander and cheif, but it was destined to failure from the beginning. and i am sure that if i ask really nice, i could use my connections from there to call in a favor or too. so you see, i would really be a valuble member to any ARG's PM team. and also, if you don't consider me, i will send my friend Mr. T after you.

thank you, and goodnight.

I put a summary and timeline in the guide: http://acheron.addlepated.net.

Yes, I saw that, and it is very well done...... but it would be nice to have a place to ask questions - that's why I asked if it would be appropriate to post a "catch up" thread. I don't want to annoy the people who've been in it from the beginning, so if we can keep all of the catch up stuff in the same thread perhaps we can keep from being annoying? I think there are quite a few of us who are considering jumping in.

I would suggest signing up for the mailing list on ARGN. I know that a lot of people hate giving out their email addresses for fear of spam and lots of unwanted mail, but Steve's a good guy and wouldn't do that to you. I've been on the list since it started and have only recieved a handful of mails from it... all announcing when new games were starting up. It's a great way to find out when something is happening for those that can actually break their addiction to these forums Smile

And how do we do this?
Sorry if I'm being stupid but I've just searched for it and couldn't find Crying or Very sad

Understood, and done! The catch-up thread is located here, and I have declared it a no-trout zone, so ask anything your heart desires.

Oh, not stupid at all. I should have provided a link, especially since it was to ARGN and not something on this site. At least Steve was around to pick up my slack... thanks buddy!

Cool - thanks bunches. My Treo died and I have a loaner Nokia 3600 with a stupid WAP browser on it - I downloaded an html browser for it last night but haven't had a chance to play with it... and I'm *really* missing the qwerty keyboard on my Treo. /endofsadstory

Anyway, that's cut into my online time - but after the Thanksgiving I should be back with all of my questions. Or, maybe not so much questions but "let me see if I have this straight"'s

If you need something to occupy your minds, you may want to check out JMX: the JadedMedia eXperience: http://www.jadedmedia.net/
The puzles on there have stumped, confused and confounded many. Stages 1 through 5 are active, with Stage 6 set to go live in December.
