I see it now. One of the more expensive places, right there on that corner where you always seem to stop, is the Hotel. And I will buy that Hotel, and put a hotel on top of it. GENIUS!!!!

What are the more valuable properties? The Red Tower? The Boiler Room?

What are the cheap places, Jay's Car?

I'd love to put a hotel on Jay's Car.

"Yo Jay, I heard you like hotels, so I put a hotel in your hotel, so you can hotel while you hotel."

But in all seriousness, I think a MH-themed Monopoly sounds just astounding. 'Community Ark' instead of 'Community Chest'. When you build houses on properties, you run the risk of getting masky-tackled, and when you enter a hotel, you randomly run the risk of appearing in another hotel all together. No jail, just that weird basement/bath house, and rolling doubles only makes it harder to escape from. Instead of Railroads, there are Parks.

How about Railroads = Bone Closets?

J as an unreliable narrator came from a very early e-mail to ToTheArk (or message on his youtube channel if you wanna nitpick). Someone asked him if they could trust J, and to paraphrase, in his cryptic manner he said something to the effect of 'no because he is human'

EDIT: his exact response was: 'human, therefore no'

EDIT 2: Spelled exact eact

Basically, this.

I don't think the idea of Jay as an unreliable narrator hinges on deceit or possession so much as the fact that, especially when he started, he had no idea what he was looking for. Just thinking about how many times Slendy was hiding off in the background in season 1 almost makes me wish that Jay would (does he even have access anymore, in the story?) go back through the old Marble Hornets raw footage original tapes and see if there was anything big that he might have missed, like bone closets or Slendy appearances or a mask lying around or... I dunno, things that meant NOTHING in the start, but could tell us volumes, now.

But, I can't see that happening as a film-making decision for them, OOG, short of TTA or Tim (whether they're the same or affiliated or not) or whoever else sending Jay a package with old tapes...

I extracted, no pun intended, the spoken bit.

What I hear is

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

"I [take/tell/dick] him for [all time/old times]". I want to conjecture the second word is "protect", which would make sense w/r/t some masky theories, but the first syllable just isn't there.

Edit: with fresher ears, I clearly hear "I take him through the path".

Edit edit: in light of #50, wouldn't that constitute an admission that TTA=Masky?

Edit edit edit: of course it could be an admission that TTA is taking Masky, not Jay, through the path...

Depending on when this was filmed, it seems like Timasky's limp is almost getting worse. Also, this video and Sidenote definitely seem like confirmations that Timasky is part of TTA.

Did anyone else first think of Inception when they first saw the video title?

It's called extraction. It's not strictly speaking legal.

More on topic, has anyone considered the meaning of the title "extraction?" I've come up with a few theories:

1. Extraction refers to whatever Tim's carrying under his shirt.

2. Extraction refers back to Sidenote. (Remain seated, I will find you. Someone's coming to "extract" Jay.)

3. Extraction refers to the process of someone being wiped from existence. (This theory is based the fact a scene from entry 20 appears, the entry where Alex and Jay mention how Brian is...somewhere.)

Yeah, that seems to be what happened to Bruce as well. In fact, maybe that's what Alex meant in entry 22 when he said everyone was gone.

I've been mulling over the significance of the title "Extraction," and there are just too many possibilities to settle on one. Here's a sampling:

- Bruce was extracted from existence. (Henceforth known as the Todd theory in my mind.) Tta is telling Jay why he can't find a missing persons report. If this is true, note that he doesn't include anyone else who has disappeared. If tta knows others have been erased--Seth, Brian, Amy, or Jessica--why aren't shots of them used in this video too? They're bigger players in the story than Bruce. And, although I rather like the Todd Theory, I can see some pretty big holes there.
- Hoody, aka Bruce, was extracted from tta via rocksmash. This theory assumes that (a) Bruce is more than just a random passerby, and (b) the maskies are in fact tta. By showcasing his limp, Tim is associating his injuries with Bruce/Hoody's. Then he follows it with an expression of hate and righteous indignation. "How much do you hate? It is not enough." = "I hate Alex more than you ever could. He has stolen from me."
- Extraction refers to something taken out of the footage we've seen in #20, #49, or #50. We and/or Jay are missing critical information. This could also refer to the second part of #38.
- [Cue Jay's Extraction] Jay was extracted from a dangerous situation via memory wipeage by tta or the masked men. This is in effect saying "Look what Alex has done. He permanently damaged Tim. We saw him kill someone. We took you out for your own good. This is the reason."
- Alex has been extracted, via killing or vanishing, by tta or the maskies.
- Alex was extracted from existence by The Operator as a result of his actions in #49. The last two explain why Alex isn't around.

The wheels, they spin.

One meaning of the word "extraction"... when Jay sits on the grass in #50, some think he's missing a tooth.
