It's called extraction. It's not strictly speaking legal.

3. Extraction refers to the process of someone being wiped from existence. (This theory is based the fact a scene from entry 20 appears, the entry where Alex and Jay mention how Brian is...somewhere.)

Yeah, that seems to be what happened to Bruce as well. In fact, maybe that's what Alex meant in entry 22 when he said everyone was gone.

Good catch there.

I see I've been beaten. Personally, I like the "extracted from existence" theory the best of all of these.

I see your point, but I don't think that it would be referring to something as obscure as that.

And then you remembered it was a video from TTA?

~90-degree angle text

The way the text is turned reminds me of the difference between the way Alex and TO are standing as viewed in the dropped chest cam. Maybe we should be looking for more in the videos at that angle.

Interesting connection. I doubt that's what TTA is saying, but that's a neat angle on the situation nevertheless.

Extraction; not enough
about the words in context

I see the word "Extraction" differently and I don't see that it makes good sense to say someone was 'extracted from life.' It just doesn't sound right to me personally.
Extraction usually means a physical removal from its usual context...like a tooth extraction, as mentioned recently.
We talk about a few paragraphs taken from a book in a review as an extract. We could maybe talk about some bits of a video that were isolated for showing as an extract, too, which would make sense if this footage (metaphorically speaking) were part of a longer video, or a more extensive set of shots. So that could be it.
But also we talk about 'vanilla extract' which is something like 'essence of vanilla' in that it takes the essential core or germ of the thing and condenses it so it's concentrated.
OK so perhaps we need to think about this more...if we try to guess what 'essence' is extracted (a la a will to live as in The Dark Crystal)...it could be still related to the "Goners" listed by Alex way back when (as I called them then).
It could be indeed their life essence, removed from their bodies mysteriously by Slendy, and stored elsewhere while their bodies were being controlled WITHOUT their core personalities anymore!

OK and this life essence could be stored elsewhere, so that their essences were really 'gone' from the mundane world!
Neato.
Now if we think about the amount of anger that TTA discusses...and his indication that it's not enough...we should ask 'enough for what?'
Perhaps like life essence (as I posit here) anger can be bottled or extracted, and this hatred can be applied for purposes of some sort...but at the moment Jay's not angry enough to effect this magical transition or whatever.
What do you think?

He left for snacks.

One man go into the store.

Operators in the store.

No snack come out of the store.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Did anyone get the poorly done Jaws reference?

Since we have reference to entry 20, plus the title, perhaps Brian was "extracted" from existing the same way poor ol' Bruce was.

All of Bruce's pals are sitting around now thinking he just went out to get snacks.

Holy crap. Taking into consideration the theory that The Operator completely removes people from existence, erasing all evidence that they ever existed, this just adds up perfectly. Consider the following:

Bruce is taken, Jay can't find missing person report.

Brian is taken, Jay doesn't remember entry 20 or any time when he came into contact with Brian.

So the people who actually come into contact with the "victims" have their minds wiped so they don't remember them anymore. Therefore, the only record of their existence is on the tape.

Sorry if this doesn't entirely make sense. I'll try to clarify any points if necessary.

What about the talk of Brian in the Interview with Tim and stuff?

Tim didn't get his mind wiped cause he was wearing the mask? Jay only remembered him cause of the tapes? Crap, my theory's full of holes.
Just trying to clarify things. Wink

The question is, where/how did Tim get a mask with that kind of ability?

I'm pretty sure those are just street lights.
