If you look at the shot where Jay is sitting down outside the tunnel, you'll see rows of vines behind him, as opposed to trees and the like. There are two sides: One side that is purely forest, and one side with tons of vines.

Actually, no idea... but if it turns out it decodes into a TTA style message, I'mma rage.

Well I was going to say that nobody comes in from the "far" end of the tunnel, but then there's at least BuddyRoo Bruce.
OK--well, what if the tunnel there is a sort of portal to Slendyland and we're supposed to read that he can use the tunnel as an exit from there, but mortals cannot use the tunnel as an entrance to go there?
And Slendified people with their essences "extracted" have or feel a need to 'return home' to Slendyland...but can't use the tunnel as an entry to it?
So maybe 'noentry' is a hint that there's a clue how to get back to where they never belonged?

This is an interesting idea. The tunnel has been a bit of a focal point in the series ever since #29, and your idea would certainly make sense of that. I can't say I'm entirely convinced that you're right, but taking into consideration the fact that the tape ends with 12 minutes still on it when Jay walks back through the tunnel... well, clearly something is going on.

Audio Spectrograms
Because we're obsessive.

Decided to run the audio through spek for the sake of being thorough. As expected, I don't really see anything abnormal or important in there. Let me know if you see something I don't. I'll run it again in smaller segments to see if anything comes up, but I doubt it.

EDIT: Just as I thought, looking at the smaller segments revealed exactly zero interesting things in the audio.

That's probably just a coincidence, since past!Jay was not thinking of submitting all those tapes as entries yet, so I wouldn't think much of the "56-42" thing. Cool coincidence, though.

Really, I think it's just his filing system for the tapes. Remember that he refers to some tapes as "labeled" and others as not, and he seems to have a clear sense of the timeline of the labeled ones, so presumably the weird numbers somehow indicate to him that it's one of Alex's tapes(maybe the season 1 tapes and anything else he got from Alex are filed under "56" for example).
