That's an interesting point about Jess not answering her phone. I'm kind of surprised no one has brought it up yet. I'm hesitant to say it's a red flag or foreshadowing, just because there could be several OOG explanations.

Well even beyond that, I've noticed that the only character that seems to answer their phone with any regularity is Jay. Alex's phone seems to be set to "TERMINALLY IGNORE EVERYONE", and even Amy's phone went to voice mail. And we're assuming there's nothing wrong with Amy because, otherwise, why would Alex call her, when he's alone, to tell her to disregard his call about Jessica? It actually seemed fairly normal to me, considering how often we see those calls get forwarded to voicemails. :/

Are you talking about #44? Because that was the opposite--Alex called Jessica to say he'd spoken to Amy, which, based upon what info we have from Alex's footage, was a lie. Unless I'm forgetting something, no one has called Amy's phone.

Yeah, no. You're right. Lurking from work is not my greatest idea. >.>

But the concept remains the same. It feels like all of the calls in the MH-verse go to voice mails. :/

They probably just have everything go to voicemail for the sake of brevity. With voicemails you get a quick summary of what the person wanted to say without having to go through a tedious "oh hello how are you" routine. It's also more cinematic than a text message.

This is true. Also I feel like it shows that maybe at this point, Jessica still has a life aka reasons not to answer her phone.

Although I will admit when Alex called Jessica for the first time in the series and it went straight to voicemail, and then later called her again and again it went straight to voicemail I was a little concerned. But she did end up answer eventually so *shrug*

i'm all for looking deeper into things, but some of the things i've seen posted in this thread makes me want to say to stop looking so deeply into things

That's definitely just a closet blocked by the boxes. You can see it more clearly in Entry #44 at 0:44 and 0:52.

For the record: I was not going deeper.... It was something that brought my atention just because I used to have something similar in my bedroom and it looked like that...

It's not impossible that there's actually a hidden door there. I mean it doesn't have to be that OOG they actually put in a secret panel for the sake of MH because I think we can all agree that's a little absurd. But yeah, some rooms have doors like that.

At the same time, I kind of figured it was just a closet or something blocked by all of Alex's crap. And I'm not EXACTLY sure how a secret compartment/room/what have you would fit in at this stage in the game. But I see where you're coming from.
