The EMH - TT crossover is... either very brilliant or a rash decision made to fill time in a plot. The Dark Harvest crossover obviously is for the fans amusement.

I think EMH reached into the big bag of Internet scary and grabbed all it could hold. TT is dealing with an even smaller subset of strange phenomena than MH. I think MH will prove itself to be the most enjoyable in the long run.

EMH takes soooo much work to get thru. TT is so modern it doesn't feel scary. MH has a nice stigma on technology that makes Slendy feel ancient and powerful.

Not to mention that no other Slendy-series has managed to go 2 full seasons and answer ONLY ONE GODDAMN QUESTION (I am referring to TiMasky's identity).

MH weaves a better web. EMH has too many threads even for a spider. TT can't catch flies with so few strands.

No we know exactly where the key unlocks now another mystery answered plus how Jessica fits in the puzzle. I admit minor puzzles however not everything is revealed.

They answer questions in due time, and they've revealed plenty already (Tim in the mask, the red tower, what happened in 26, who Amy was, who Jessica was, Tim's then-mysterious limp in 33, etc).

The problem is with almost every entry they create new questions as well. But, knowing that the series will be confined to three seasons and that they do plan on resolving it all is much more preferrable, as opposed to just creating a clusterfuck of ideas that won't be resolved until Half Life 3 releases.

As far as EMH goes after seeing there was a timeline on the wiki, I decided to get caught up. Took me 2 days, and 10 hours of internet time. I was able to read all the letters, watch the trials, read ALL the twitters, and for the live streams I just jumped to the parts people said were important. I am now officially caught up, it's a good story, AWESOME characters, but a complete cluster of ideas... I mean there's like thousands of different things going on. It's not exactly scary, though there are some epic moments

My two cents:

Whereas I can't be *too* frustrated by the prospect of crossovers or cameos in the other vlogs (mind you, I only watch MH, EMH, TT, and MLAnderson0), I feel like MarbleHornets has very intentionally and very effectively isolated itself from other works. The isolation is part of the disturbing attraction. When I watch, I don't want to think Jay has some authority or experienced peer to go to (outside of the current actors). I want to be creeped out as Jay desperately tries to piece things together, occasionally making glaring mistakes.

One of the reasons that MarbleHornets can get away with a slow burn, fewer special effects, and fewer plot elements is that this is a supernatural suspense series where the real evil seems to come from humans. The violence happens in deliberate, discrete (not discreet) events; any character crossing over from another series would only dilute that.

The creators of MH seem to have strong ideas about how they want to distill the creepiness, and I think they're doing a good job.

MH crossing over with inferior slenderblogs isn't normal... but on meth it is.

I suggested this as well. Patrick would fit in very well with the Marble Hornets universe because of his name alone. He could wind up being the best friend of the time-travelling Spongebob kid.
