What if the coughing was a side effect from some kind of asbestos poisoning from being holed up in that building for some time.

also, if Alex has been a motherfucker since the beginning it brings me to mind the Entry where O-town walks into Alex's room and a half hour later we see blood on Alex's face. Could it explain the disappearance of Rocky the Dog?

Hmmm, I'm very mixed on this Entry. I love how it goes back to season one and the original shoot, and provides a bit more plot development while raising new questions. It had some humor, a lot of atmosphere, and a whole ton of "What the fuck?"

BUT...

The Slender Man just seemed... half-assed in this. Maybe it just stands out more because of the season one feel, but it just highlights to me how his appearances seem to have declined in significance and quality in the second season. Hell, in his first appearance in this Entry, it looks like he wasn't even actually in the shot, but inserted in post-production. And shoddily, at that. He sticks out like a sore thumb, and not in a good way. It really pulled me out of the Entry and made me think, "Wow, that looks bad." Cut to black, frozen shot of The Slender Man in background, cut to black. It just struck me as sloppy.

The second appearance was better, but it just irks me that all He does is appear and stand still. I know this is redundant because I made a whole topic about it on the mythos board, but WHY can't The Slender Man move anymore? Even slightly, slowly, briefly, just a hint of actual life and movement with him would help greatly, to me.

A mannequin for the Big N Tall store is not scary.

Still excited for what the rest of the season holds, but I had to get that off of my chest.

Man, that is freaky. It also gives a really good sense of scale because I don't think we've ever seen anybody standing right next to the Operator.

Just throwing out a curveball theory. What if that wasn't Alex that picked up the camera? TO can teleport the victims, like with Bruce. why would Alex have to do the heavy lifting? SO I think maybe Tim dragged Brian in there to keep him safe until regaining consciousness and while walking around Alex showed up again and somehow got the tape from Tim. Later cutting out that part in case something were to happen.

I know this isn't exactly evidence, but Tim doesn't strike me as the type to wear skinny jeans and sneakers. It's definitely Alex at the end.

Also, Alex's trademarked mis-matched shoelaces

Why would Alex hang on to this tape rather than destroying it, I wonder?

If he is under slendy's control that would mean he is keeping all of the tapes when he is able to fight it so someone can find out and stop slendy

Or maybe he's a psychopath and loves watching his victims die.

But your theory sounds much nicer to me. Very Happy

ALSO, SOMEONE PLEASE TWEET TO TROY AND OR JAY ABOUT IT BEING HD, it's bothering me and keeping me from enjoying this entry. Such a discontinuity hurts bro. Even something as simple as Jay tweeting, "It's in HD cause Alex at the time bought a new camera and wanted to reshoot the movie with it or something."

JUST THROW ME A FRIGGIN BONE.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Just asked troy on FB and he said that they were shot with the same camera but he didn't say if they uploaded it in a different way that makes it look clearer.

Don't know the exact timestamp--but just as Alex is sending Brian down the hallway before things later go terribly awry--and he's directing him--he seems to say something under his breath like "whatever"...
Meaning--ALEX mumbles this cuz Brian is innocent and just asking like "Is this ok--like this?" and Alex is like "yeahhhh" and under his breath in a disdainful manner--he's like "whatever..." meaning "IT don't matter--keep fucking walking to your DOOM...." Shocked

Ok, some of this has been said by others, and to them goes due credit. I'm just trying to compile some insights here.

-A lot of evidence points to Alex being in cahoots with Operator a LOT earlier than we expected. Given that Alex withheld THIS tape, not something he filmed much later, as we had anticipated, it suggests that Alex was already on our Slender friend's side at the start. Given that the footage of Alex's birthday suggests that the Operator has been around Alex since his childhood, we have to seriously consider that this "alliance" may have PRECEDED the events of Marble Hornets.

-If Alex is lying in the footage about everyone being "gone" and him not remembering, that means two important things. First, that he ORIGINALLY INTENDED to give these tapes to Jay, and that we cannot trust ANYTHING Alex says season 1. Alex may have known FROM THE START what he was looking at when he saw that "weird tall guy".

-We have to re-evaluate EVERYTHING Alex said/did in season 2. For example, when he breaks Tim's leg with the rock, remember that he wanted to kill him first--this is not, then, an overreaction to Tim's general weirdness as Masky but actually to stop him from clueing Jay in. Did Alex even care that the Operator got Amy, or was this just used as a way to get Jay cooperating with him?

Alex
R.
Kralie

ARK.

They want Jay to lead them totheark. To Alex! They want revenge for Alex killing off their friends and trying to kill them! They want to stop Alex and Selnderman! HOLY SHIT! This entry was friggin amazing!!!

I just remembered. If this tape was withheld from Jay, it's likely that Alex also withheld the Entry #22 tape that he found at the tower. I'm guessing either Tim or Brian stole the Entry #22 tape from Alex so Jay could see it.

drawing attention to this. we certainly shouldn't jump to conclusions or anything, but it's safe to say alex purposefully withheld it. how it got to the tower remains to be seen.

i felt like brian was actually nervous, but not because of the cops or anything.

notice that it was alex that was gone after the operator suddenly appeared, not brian. no clue why or what that means but just an observation.

we also didn't see who picked up that camera.

questions to ask: why was tim there? was he led there by alex like brian was? Or is there some sort of relationship between alex and tim we don't know about?

perhaps we should ask jay if he remembers anything written on the tower tape? like 55-42 or something.

also, did the operator appear at all before his big entrance? or was i just seeing stuff in the trees?

On a different note, I now believe that Alex IS being "controlled," in the same sense that a child is controlled by his parents. He's aware of his actions but he must do these because the operator is "Always watching" (based on Alex's drawings in entry 50). I believe (Opinion) that when Alex stopped "feeding" Slendy, he took Amy as punishment. Alex is now trying to appease Slendy by giving him more "food" and therefore get Amy back.
