In enttry #37, some of the time stamps during the Operator's appearance were dates that had to do with railroad accidents.

In the beginning of Entry #51, Alex has Brian walk along a train track. It seems the Operator has some sort of connection to trains... One name for a person who drives a train is a train operator. Shocked

A minor but potentially interesting discovery: The oversaturated image seen at 6:49 (immediately before Brian is floored) matches the frozen image of The Operator at ~6:47 (by the doorframe). Check it out:

For reference, here is the slightly distorted image of The Operator at the doorframe (~6:47).

Next, here is the oversaturated, disorienting image seen between the doorframe shot and the shot of Brian on the floor.

Do you see the similarities? Here is a side-by-side comparison to make things clearer. On the left is a close-up of the original doorframe shot (~6:47); on the right is a full frame from the transition shot (6:49).

If you look through the footage around 6:49, you can also make out several other visual landmarks such as the white space of the door at the left of the frame. Evidently, the 6:49 footage shows an oversaturated, distorted close-up The Operator's arm and torso.

***Begin speculation***

So what is the significance of this finding? As several have noted, the audio accompanying the close-up shot at 6:49 seems to be Brian calling out "Alex."

Why would Brian be calling out for Alex when The Operator is right there? I can buy him calling out for a friend while he is running from The Operator, but calling out a friend's name when he is face-to-face with an Eldritch abomination seems like really poor prioritization.

Perhaps Brian cannot see The Operator and simply continues calling out to Alex as before? Or (to plant an even taller epileptic tree) maybe Brian sees Alex in place of The Operator since the latter is a mental projection of the former?

People are saying they can see Slendy behind Brian's head after the railroad scene. Is that Slendy, or just some form of signpost?

EDIT: As for the above theory... if he /is/ shouting "Alex!", it's probably because he's terrified as shit as to what happened to the person he came in with, and that's the only person that could potentially help him then.

Just a thought, but do you guys get the impression that this was the same building from Entry #13?

It's not. Sad

OOG:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The poolhouse from Entries 13, 22, and 23 was renovated into a train museum.

How do we know it's not? I think it might be -- or that it's supposed to be anyway, even if
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OOG we know it can't be. The trouble with losing that location is that, given the propensity to examine the smallest minutiae, NO substitute is going to quite pass muster.
And by extension, the BOD is in this same "complex".

It could be called either. From Wikipedia:

Wikipedia wrote:
A railroad engineer, locomotive engineer, train operator, train driver or engine driver is a person who drives a train on a railroad.

Those screen captures are great. I like the one where Slenderman is right beside the hallway with Brian posing. with cough.

It's a picture of Prof Farnsworth's clone child from Futurama.

The shirt has the logo of their delivery company.
