My guess is that along with being someone else who can do production, direction, some acting, maybe some writing, he may be very good at the business end of things--and it makes sense to bring someone on when you're trying to grow a company but you're also trying to do the creative stuff you love best. Plus, Cyan507, didn't you say a while back something about him apparently being well-connected? And, who knows--while Trosephim apparently won't be in the new series, maybe he'll have a small role or making some other substantial contribution. I'm willing to give him time.

Also he does nothing in THAC but be in silly shorts and podcasts because that's all they do right now.

I wouldn't assume his role in the new series will be small. Sure they're casting people, but he could be a major character too. I'm not saying he will be, but it would make total sense if he was, he's part of the crew, and the only member of the crew who even could be in it.

My honesty opinion: the shorts he's been in are stupid. But, all the shorts are stupid. We like them because we related to their Marble Hornets personalities beforehand, at least I theorize that to be partially true. Having silly shorts as his primary existence isn't really fair to him. I will reserve my judgement until I figure out what exactly his role will be, which I think is pretty obviously too early to tell.

I don't know if they're all "stupid": The "Nature Break" and "Space Time Express" series constitute a pretty great spoof of the little PBS edu-shorts I grew up with and watched well into the aughts. Put Craig Digsby and Morningstar Sinclair together in one person and cut out the swearing, and you pretty much have the late, great Jack Foley Horkheimer, the "Star Rustler."

Now that you mention it, it was his livestream that cut out with the wicked big "44."

Personally, I like the absurdist humor of X Verbs a Y. I'd probably like it slightly less if I didn't know them from MH but I'd still like it, not despite but rather because of its stupidity.

And Nature Break and Space Time Express are great. Now I'm waiting for them to complete the set with a weird series where Joseph hosts.

Agreed.

Troy has Nature Break.

Tim has Space Time Express.

How about Joseph's Spring Break Express?

Seriously though, we've covered nature and space, so what would be the appropriate theme for Joseph to be the expert on?

Well, I actually was (at least half-)serious, but the logical answers are:

1. Time (he's THACland's resident cosmologist--or runs a watch repair shop)
2. Human nature (he's THACland's resident ethicist)
3. Inner space (he's THACland's resident metaphysician and spiritual guru)

He could also do a cooking show--I'm just sure that anything he'd make that involved anything citrusy would leave out he grapefruit.

I'd like to see him give some awful cringeworthy trumpet tutorial like the ones on youtube. With him giving special tip and tricks that any horn player would know NOT to do.

I wonder what "Smoke on the Water" sounds like on a trumpet?

Probably horrible, which is why it should be the first song he teaches us.

Actually, I've played it. It's not the worst thing I've ever heard. Which isn't to say that Joseph couldn't make it absolutely eardrum-shatteringly horrendous, and make me never want to pick up a trumpet again.

I'd actually love to see Joseph do something with meteorology. Like, the world's worst storm chaser with no understanding of pressure systems or cloud formation.

I hadn't thought of that, that would be awesome. I'd love to see a Weather report show with Joseph in the vein of this style

Yeah, I don't mean stupid in a bad way, that's part of why it works, I'm just saying its grounded in a pre-relation to the character archtypes. Like its jarring if you don't have an archetypical relation to the character involved.

Space Time Express and Nature Break are pretty brilliant, but we haven't seen Noah in anything quite like that either.

Maybe Joseph could do psychology.
