I know this is pretty late, but does anyone know what Troy says at the end of Cookie Crisis? It's too slurred for me to understand.

"They do this all the time, and they don't even eat the cookie at the beginning. They just... keep doing that."

And Nature Break and Space Time Express are great. Now I'm waiting for them to complete the set with a weird series where Joseph hosts.

Agreed.

Troy has Nature Break.

Tim has Space Time Express.

How about Joseph's Spring Break Express?

Joseph is always wet. He's gonna be doing some marine adventures.

Seriously though, we've covered nature and space, so what would be the appropriate theme for Joseph to be the expert on?

Well, I actually was (at least half-)serious, but the logical answers are:

1. Time (he's THACland's resident cosmologist--or runs a watch repair shop)
2. Human nature (he's THACland's resident ethicist)
3. Inner space (he's THACland's resident metaphysician and spiritual guru)

He could also do a cooking show--I'm just sure that anything he'd make that involved anything citrusy would leave out he grapefruit.

Whoops, didn't see this post before. Didn't mean to imply you weren't being serious so much as I misunderstood your post (indeed, I'm still not 100% clear what Spring Break Express's theme would be).

I personally would love to see Joseph do a "paranormal research/ghost hunter" type of show, especially since he (apparently) scares really easily.
The punchline could be he runs away at the first sign of anything even remotely unusual (but reveals itself to be of totally mundane origin.) Laughing

That's actually sort of what I'm hoping either "44" or the series after it (which can still be comedy with horror) will involve--e.v.p.s and other stuff.

That'd be pretty neat.

How about aliens, maybe? Trying to contact Morningstar Sinclair. Maybe Space Time Express is the only broadcast from earth they've intercepted, and they are trying to make first contact without realizing what a completely ignorant asshat he really is.

Speaking of the devil, here are some screenshots of the static from the latest Space Time Whoeveritis. I'm sure they don't mean anything, but it's fun to look at. That little group of letter-looking thingies at the upper right hand side show up in a lot of them.

If I shouldn't be posting so many pics, let me know and I'll delete 'em.

I would love if Sinclair was the first human being that aliens came into contact with, and how he'd react to it. Like if they stayed at his apartment in an E.T. style scenario. He'd probably say something like
"Cool, you can sleep on the couch for now, just move all that crap on it into the corner, my girlfriend has her yoga classes on Thursdays. I dunno if you like, watch TV or anything but we have King of Queens on DVD."

In relation to the screenshots I love how THAC have managed to master VHS tapes and how the tearing always comes in as he says more than he should Razz

I'm pretty sure there'd be at least a few more expletives in that statement if he said it.

As for where the tape cuts out--agreed, and it really makes it feel more like something from the '90s to me, when there was a lot more of that kind of humor on TV of playing around with building up to something "dirty" or otherwise inappropriate and then having the tape or broadcast cut out or be interrupted.

EDIT: Also, I see Sinclair as an "Everybody Loves Raymond" kind of guy.

How about these, then?

1. Joseph and the Technicolor Knowing-Coat: A Mr. Wizard-meets-Mr. Rogers kids' show in which at the start of every episode, Joseph enters a small study, puts on the Technicolor Knowing-Coat, and is transported to a fantastic realm of wonder in which he (and the young viewers) learn everything from the value of friendship to how an electromatic field is generated. Ironically, the intellectual insight that Joseph is invested with by putting the Technicolor Knowing-Coat on is actually quite limited and confused because the coat was ruined at the Dry Cleaners' (hence its technicolor appearance--and given the retro look THAC's experimenting with, this can be set in the '70s or '80s as well as the '90s). Professor Lesson can show up at appropriate points to teach hard lessons about overcoming adversity and about not speaking as if one knows far more than one actually does.

2. The Heat Is On: Joseph travels the country seeking out and sampling the best hot sauces, only to remember once he samples them that he has no tolerance for pain or capsaicin whatsoever.

Aside from those and the Spring Break Express (which I think would be a solitary buddy series not so much about the ultimate spring break experience but about the journey to it), that's all I've got for now. Someone should get DeLage back on the Unfiction horn. These opportunities won't knock forever.

Well that Nature Break actually has a true fact in it.

Joseph is going to take us on a journey to OUTER SPACE.

Then he, Morningstar Sinclair, Computer Jym, and Craig Digsby will all combine their powers to summon Captain Factoid.

Captain Factoid. He's a hero. Gonna take confusion down to zero.
