holy shit that movie was amazing! I didn't quite get the part at the end. Were the just killing rednecks for the hell of it, or were they all windigos?

Review I liked most start. Not sure on the most of end it needs commentaries on what happens.

I liked some of it. the premise was good, the reason for filming was good. The distortion was nice, however I think some of the acting was really bad. In the begining when the guy is talking about his parents dying, it sounded like he was resiting stereo instructions.

Certainly interesting. definitely a quality product, though maybe not one I'd pay $20 for.

That was interesting, at the very least. I liked the premise and the setup for it, but I honestly found it to fall apart a little bit toward the end.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I mean, really? You have Slenderman killed by fire? And I wasn't too thrilled by the idea that Slenderman is a monster created from man. I mean, isn't the basic mythos of it supposed to be that we don't know very much about it, and it's a seemingly unkillable thing that came from another dimension?
And the fact that we see them turn faceless kinda turned me off. It sort of took away the mystery element of the whole genre, IMO.
I don't mean for you to take it the wrong way, I did enjoy it.

To elaborate on my thoughts from last night...
The French-Canadian guy who really wants his shed? He is freaking hilarious! Dialogue was generally well-written, though acting in the beginning was pretty meh... got better by the end.
Pacing was kind of off to me... it seemed like there was too much time spent on stuff rather unimportant. We spent so much time focusing on the FC guy that at the end I could hardly identify who any of the characters were - even though you obviously introduced us to them earlier in the movie, I just could not tell who was who.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the ending was... weird. Intense but confusing. What was the point of the swimming scene?
What sparked Brandon's sudden change from "good guy just trying to get out of here" to "future slendy?" it wasn't clear to me why he suddenly changed.
Why did they have to shoot all the townsfolk? Were they all slenderproxies? it wasn't clear to me.
Also, the FC guy turned faceless, and the way the chick was so easily able to subdue him.. that was meant to be comic relief, right?

I honestly really liked the "Zombie" idea at the end. Although I must say, why is it that all Slenderman short films insist on killing him? Hell, you could have not killed him, and left the end of the movie completely the same, and it wouldn't have made any difference. Also the "Windigo" effects at the end were really cool. The acting at the beginning was a bit shaky, but afterwards it was pretty good. The Slenderman costume looked pretty good, and this is probably mthe first time that Slenderman's tentacles have been practical effects rather than edited in. All in all, it was pretty good, but it had some faults.

So I got Curious and Watched it. The Story is .. okay... Here, I'll just break it all down in a Spoiler.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Pretty much these Film Students go out in the middle of nowhere to shot a documentary about Deforestation. It pretty much covers all the stages of the aggressive Nature Slender man induces, He doesn't show up till around 40 minutes in, that when everyone starts to go at each others throats. The Uncle obviously has a secret and later Tries to kill Brandon (The Camera man). The build up is pretty worth it, the ending is Really over the top and somewhat well done... There are a lot of things that make yell in an angry, disappointed tone "What the Hell was that?"
If you don't feel like watching the whole thing (And I don't blame you if you do), watch the ending at 1:21:12 when Slendy starts to get active, The bathroom scene was really well done, though the Ending Interrogation scene had me sitting there asking "Why did I just waste My life?"

The whole end reminded me of Blair Witch 2 lot of what happened.

Think film Windigo should remember this is term for werewolf or shaggy large big monster.
Actually, the Wendigo is an evil spirit that will possess people who commit cannibalism.

Woah Woah Woah-No this was terrible but it certainly doesn't warrant Blair Witch 2 comparison. That toilet clogging clusterfuck shouldn't even be mentioned ever again..
And yes this was awful..

Awful? Not to insult anyone's opinions but are you insane?
I believe this movie's on par with MarbleHornets. I thought of it all as a stand-alone entry almost. It definitely did things no one tried to. The Moving slenderman wasn't cliche and it was fabulous. The distortion kept me on edge the entire time.
This is a must see for anyone who has the patience to watch all of MH
