Lots of fun in this entry, and lots of neat ideas in this thread.

Just wanted to post some idea/theory real quick. What if Masky, fearing what might happen, followed Jay to the hotel, and after the Slendy assault, sneaks into Jay's room? Finding an unconscious Jay, Masky puts him to bed, and watches the tape in the camera to figure out what the hell happened? Masky learns the safe's code and puts the camera inside, and presumably watches the chest cam footage, and (if it's noentry) puts it on the computer. Now Masky knows the code to give back to Jay in entry 32.

I actually really like this theory, although it does assume that Jay's door was unlocked, which wouldn't really fit the paranoid personality of Jay. I mainly like this because I saw Tim's "attack" of Jay in Entry 32 as more of a "get the fuck out of here, he knows where you are." kind of thing. (I've been for the whole Alex is evil and Tim is good before it was cool Razz)

I just like it since it neatly fixes things for the beginning for season 2 XD

Are you describing Tharol to me? I think you replied to the wrong post buddy.

Haha, sounds like it was for me, yeah.
But thanks!

yeah

that happens sometimes

except it doesnt and that's the first time that's ever happened to me

whoops

anyways, yeah, im pretty sure tim came into the room after jay was knocked unconscious, reviewed the tape in jay's camera, put it in the safe, and later wrote down the safe number for jay when he chased him out of the hotel.

Hey, lurked for a while, and after looking through this thread, I noticed that nobody noticed this. To me, it looks like Masky, but it's right after Jay tackles the Operator. But what would he be doing there?

Here guys, I know nothing will probably come out of it, and if that ends up being the case I'll probably just end up taking it down. However, as some have requested, I went and downloaded the original entry 52 and uploaded it to my YouTube page in case Troy/Jay make any weird changes to the new version coming.

Again, very doubtful, but oh well.

It's definitely Jay; see my posts on the previous page.

C'mon, Tim saved Jay and Jessica from certain death.

A well done episode-from the "confession speech" at the beginning to the use of the driving scene to signify the end of the "season". Everything fits pretty well.
I usually read everyone's theories here and pick one out as the best idea but here's the basics I see:

Alex-Yes, he's certainly evil. I think we all thought he was going to give jessica and j over to the Operator however it didn't play out that way. A nice cliffhanger on the storyline with the gunshot and I'm really impressed the bullet casing found in season 1 may have significance now (however I don't know if it makes sense in a timeline fashion).

Masky-Clearly not as deranged as we suspected however his "ability" to be a the right place at the right time still lends me to believe he has supernatural powers. Since he's alive at the end, acting normal it could signify his part in the story has ended if he's no longer under the influence. I think the real question is how does he possess powers if he's not aligned with the Operator?

Plot holes with time-continuity-I could launch into a plot hole discussion but since Marble Hornets is a scattered sequence of videos ect I just accept what I'm shown. It's not worth the migraine it could induce and Doc Emmit L. Brown would be needed..

Operator Fight-Great to see Jay go at the Operator-not as silly as Evan from EMH (yikes I referenced that ARG mess of a story?) with the bat. Good to see, and I really liked how the Operator looked taller than the ceiling in the room.

I can't really say I'm "satisfied" with the amount of answers given in the finale, but I suppose its a lot for an entry of Marble Hornets. 2 answers usually lead to 3 more questions.

I know this is going to sound really stupid, but I'm confused as to what footage was on the tape Jay took from Alex's apartment. Was the entry where you see Alex sitting in the cave thing it?

(please don't kill me)

we just know that he's against alex, which is a fact we've known for a while. If it was any other gun-toting maniac, he may very well have left it be.

Im not saying he's against jay, im just saying we can't be sure yet.

Yes, but as they say, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." While it wasn't clear before, now that Jay is against Alex, I think we can be sure that he is on the same side as Tim.

Honestly, I doubt there's just one side.

I think Tim and Jay are on the same side, but Tim doesn't want to work with Jay and Jessica just because of the fact the doesn't trust anyone. The only reason he saves Jay is so he can get to the tapes, like when he attacks Jay just after he opens to safe.

Also, I'm kinda on the side that the mask brings out a different side of Tim, because if it was just Tim wearing a mask, he would speak

Holy shit... umm... wow. That's a good question.

Maybe Slendy can't take anyone who's not dead

Awesome season finale.

Alex -- shows his true colors in no uncertain terms.

Masky -- AWAITING THE MOMENT TO STRIKE

Jay -- finally grew a pair. Not only did he tackle The Operator, but earlier he actually had the presence of mind to not give the game away when Tim was sneaking up on Alex.

However Alex got pulled into Slendy's orbit, however reluctantly and with however much remorse he carried out Slendy's will at first, now he's completely bought in and no longer seems to be fighting it. We've only seen him kill once, but it's not at all unreasonable that he's killed others.

Someone suggested earlier that Jay may have a masked persona as well. (I apologize to scholars of the ancient tongues for the redundancy.) That's an intriguing idea. If Tim is a Slendy-meal survivor (reconstituted personality?), then shouldn't Jay be as well? Jay MUST have had a Slendy encounter at the very least, near the end of MH filming, since he didn't remember much of his involvement with MH. The mind wipe had happened, and Jay was among those Alex bemoaned as "gone". But not totally. The masks, or the personality flips expressed by the wearing of masks, may have a restorative/protective effect.

It's pretty clear that if The Operator is indeed devouring something of his victims, that he doesn't always (or, perhaps, doesn't typically) take everything. Perhaps he leaves a bit behind, a fragment of soul, that will regrow in time. Kind of like farming them. Perhaps the memory wipe is a sign that a part of one's soul has been devoured. And this may have something to do with the seeming connection to cameras: to the extent they can record what happened and so aid in the reconstituting of memory, maybe they affect his meals either by aiding in the regeneration -- or by robbing him of what he had devoured by restoring it to the victim.

Anyway, typos aside, great entry. I can't wait for season 3.

Oh man, I am so late to the party, but I just have to say -

JAY YOU'RE AWESOME <3 <3 <3 that tackle was the most epic thing ever in MH.

I can't wait for Season 3, I am still on the edge of my seat, asdfjkl.
That being said, my mind is abuzz with questions-
Will we get to have a revealing talk between Jay and Tim?
What is going on with Alex? Has he really killing more people than we've seen? (I know people brought up the bullet casing, and I'm inclined to believe that yes, all that blood probably was from something more than a coughing fit.) Why does he feel that killing people is the solution to things, especially when it seems he doesn't want to? Is it because of the Operator? Getting away from the Operator? Tying up loose ends? Even maybe in a twisted way believing that by killing people he's saving them from a fate worse than death from the Operator?
What about the Operator itself? I really do want to know why he doesn't seem to kill anyone on his own.

And a bit more but I really ought to be in bed now, ha ha orz So enough of my spastic rambling.

THIS WAS AMAZAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, does anyone else think that there needs to be a TTA response? I mean, come on, Tim's just walking around in the open without his mask, acting all chill! That completely destroys their credibility as masked psychos!
