"So much more than Time has been lost"

Loved this entry, especially Tim sneaking up behind Alex. "Ohai"

Still some things that I couldn't figure out (many of them already mentioned)

-the when and who of noentry
-why noises were coming from Jessica's room without her noticing
-what exactly happened with Jessica and Tim
-where's hoody (i'm gonna go with "following silently off camera")
-if Brian is alive he could be hoody, but if Brian is dead.....THEN WHO WAS PHONE (also, I guess this officially knocks my theory of Jessica being hoody, I doubt she's playing innocent this far in)

Hi, been around since the start of season 2 just decided to get an account... listen to the way Alex says "I've had plenty of chances to do this" it sounds kinda unsure of himself... also if he could've killed Jay before and hated that the videos were being put up then why didn't he kill Jay when he had the chance? I believe either this is a false reason or Alex didn't want to kill Jay until something big happened that changed his mind...

Jay, how is it a remotely good idea to openly announce that you're stalking Tim, if he frequently posts video responses to your entries??

Maybe if his memory was wiped (which some people are speculating is the reason he's acting normal), he doesn't keep tabs on this stuff anymore?

Considering Jay encountered Masky after the Entry 27 (time wise), this would imply something major happened during the uploading of all the videos. (Not to mention the fact that he uploaded videos) I don't think we've seen the last of TTA considering the mass amount of unanswered questions, including but not limited to:
1. Who/what is the ark?
2. Why does Tim want him/her/it (Extraction pretty much solidified that Tim = TTA for me)?
3. Who is the hooded person and what is their relationship to Tim?

Sidenote: Anyone else find it odd that Tim doesn't have the very pronounced limp he had in Extraction?

I thought of that as well and came to the conclusion that, assuming Masky is an alternate personality of Tim, since "Masky" was the one who got his leg broken, it's only when he's on control of the body that the "injury" resurfaces, whereas Tim never got hurt and therefore has no limp, that is to say, his brain never "registered" an injury so he's not injured.

I know this makes no sense but hey, it's an ARG where a no-faced eldritch abomination exists. Plus the power of the brain is really something.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 pence about Jay and the Operator in the hotel room. I'm sitting in the sucking Jay in camp, because at 10:30, just before the distortion gets really bad, Oppy lifts his arms as though he is going to grab Jay. To me, this implies that he is sucking him in, not being charged at - furthermore, the way Jay keeps the camera angled towards Oppy at all times hints at him being sucked in, since if he was going to charge Oppy I'm sure camera down+shoulder barge would have been the style used.

Either way, its still my single favourite sequence from any Entry so far. The whole composition of the shot is just gorgeous and the mise-en-scene is just beautiful for a long shot of the Operator. His central position in the frame, with the single light behind him. As I said, gorgeous. Congrats to Troy and whoever else was involved in this shot!

Just toshing it out there: I am firmly in the "Jay got pulled in by the Operator" camp.
EDIT: JaHawk2009, you read my mind.

I see the arms being lifted as the point of impact (Jay tackling the O camp here) The distortion seems like a sort of fish-eye visual effect where the Operator seems farther away then he actually is.

Yeah, I can see that as a possibility as well, but I think that, were Oppy to be attacked with a body charge or something similar, it would either have no effect or would cause him to overbalance, depending on how corporeal he really is.

Masky teleporting in #52?

Just rewatched, and I noticed something perhaps worth mentioning. Obviously Masky didn't walk up the stairs in the mill/attic area. Initially I thought he was up the the whole time, and that someone else (maybe Hoody) was following them through Rosswood, creating the footsteps Jessica mentions.

However, when Jay films Alex climbing the stairs at 3:36 3:46, we get a clear shot behind the partition, and Masky isn't back there. He could've been hiding farther back (on the second story, but closer to the wall the trio enters through below), but the partition doesn't extend the length of the stairway. So if he was already up there, Masky would have to cross an open bit to emerge from behind the partition. Considering where everyone seems to be positioned, Alex probably would've seen him. So is it possible that Masky teleported up there? He emerges just after Alex's distorted "That's your fault!" Maybe Masky's teleportation even caused the distortion. (Although from what we've seen, Alex's rage is already clearly tied to distortion, so that's not really evidence, IMO.)

If this theory is right, that means at least three things:
- Masky himself could have been following the trio through Rosswood
- Hoody may not have been in Rosswood during #52
- Masky can control when and where he teleports

Maybe this isn't earth-shattering; I need to review a few things, particularly about Hoody, before assigning importance and speculating further. But I thought I'd throw it out there for general discussion, at least.

EDIT: Fixed a typo; it's at 3:46.

Maybe the gunshot hit Tim in is bad leg, which is why he was limping in the hotel?

I'm also in the "he-charged-operator" camp, to me it looks like The Operator raised its arms in response to Jays sudden charge, almost as if it had forgotten about the reality-warping powers it possesses, then thinks "aw hell no" and thwacks down Jay, takes him somewhere and erases his memory.

Also: awesome entry!

Might as well add this:

First time watching I thought Operator sucked Jay in towards him and I was like "FUCK!". After reading comments I changed my mind. First it looks like Jay is running not just being pulled and second Jay yelling. Missed him yelling at first, but that was so fucking awesome. So yeah. The frustrated yelling and way the camera moves tells me Jay went for it. Plus I don't blame him after all this. About time someone tried to fuck the Operator up. Tall bastard just standing there tilting his head while you run around in the woods and get stalked, attacked and almost shot.

i think brian/tim has been following alex since shooting MH and in entry 13's response they're filming jay to make sure alex doesn't pull anything on him

i also think in 43 alex purposely walked into slendy to have his mind wiped out and forget w/e he did to amy

I'm also in the "Jay made a badass charge" camp. I think the Operator raised its arms because it was surprised that Jay actually fought back this time.

I took that as the Operator taking on Jay. Kind of like a, "COME AT ME!"

Finally!
Awesome entry. It really changed everything.
It left us with a ton more questions, but, everything will be solved, right?

Now:
-Alex with the gun... and the bullet casing J found earlier leds me to believe Alex had used it against someone else (my theory for "Alex killed the MH cast one by one" stands.)
-Masky saving J and Jessica... awesome.
-J and Jessica were definetly together. D´aww.
-For me, it seemed J charged at the Operator, in a stupid but EPIC move. Jessica, I think TO attacked her and then teleported to J´s room, giving them both amnesia.
-Monsieur Tim... is he "normal" now, or J just caught him not being Masky?

Ahghhg, so many questions.
