Something I'm not sure anyone else noticed, but I think it's a really cool addition that near the end of this entry, J and Jessica are talking and he says 1234 is the first combination he'd try, and in Entry 28 when he finds the safe, that's the first he does try to unlock it. Not sure if anyone else said that, but it's really a cool little thing they added.

Hold the fuckin phone here. Are we sure that he said him? That puts alot of questions into place about what's happening right from the start. Did Jay actually know about this or did Alex know he would be on film. If Alex knew it was in film, is possible that Alex and Tim are actually staging their whole fight in hopes that Jay looks like the asshole?

Alex definitely said "him".

Couldn't it just be he said em instead of them? As in "sharing "m with the world?" (Quickly saying them)

Him sounds strange. But if he did say him then that could be a major gamechanger!

Alex definitely refers to the tapes as "them", not "him".

So, I didn't see this brought up, so here's something I've been wondering about.

Was Alex's plan to kill Jay all along? The dialogue seems to hint at the idea that it wasn't. Alex was trying really hard to trust Jay, but Jay kept fucking it up. The whole "Plenty of chances to do this" bit makes me think that he's alluding to the fact that he didn't for a reason. And it's true- I mean, look at that walk in the woods he took with Alex when Alex was going to show him whatever. Granted, it was the same sort of trick ("Come look at this over here") but Jay was like "It's getting dark, man". Alex could've easily gunned him down right there. Hell, while he was distracted changing the tape. Instead he was like "Alright. Next time, bring Jessica."

It just seems like Jay stealing the tape was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak, and Alex decided Jay needed to die.
