Yeah... After all, I watched Poughkeepsie Tapes and just watched some fragments of this movie... And it looked kinda... Well, nothing new...

EDIT: To previous post: Yes, it's true, but I think they meant allmost completely to S1, which is not near HD.

id just like to point out that a lot of people actually don't realize slendy is in that entry, the camera pans over him while it's panning over people from the outside looking at the burning building, he's so tall i don't get how the camera man or anyone else wasn't freaking out

I'm 99% sure he's not there, but now I absolutely have to go check to make sure. Damn you.

AT 1:04, he is just standing there.

I agree, the Operator is there. A lot of people mistake that as a pole, but you can clearly see the cuffs of his sleeves, and his hands. It's nigh impossible to get a clear screenshot of it, though.

On the topic, I recently watched "Chronicle", which is stylistically similar to Marble Hornets, what with the idea of an amateur carrying a camera around. There's even a scene early on, when the characters explore the pit in the ground, that has some distortion effects similar to MH.

That gave me a good idea of what an attempt at MH or something simlar could be on the big screen.

I don't really see it. Somebody want to post screencaps outlining it?

I saw Chronicle last week. Great found footage style movie however
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the ending sucked

If Hollywood were to make a MH movie, I wouldn't be entirely too upset if they did it like Chronicle, at least as far as the camerawork is concerned.

You mean that tree is supposed to be the Operator? I see the distortion, but it still looks like a tree to me.

So... this is The Slender Man, allegedly? It looks like a tree. Plus, it's not like they had the resources to stage a fire, hire a bunch of extras, and put The Slender Man in there for a short scene in a relatively unimportant entry. Granted, it could be a tree they want us to think is The Slender Man, but that's reaching.

I've always taken the distortion to only mean that the Operator (or Masky, since we thought he was a minion of the Operator back then) was somehow involved with the fire. Not necessarily that he is in the video itself.

As was said, you can see his hands. However, if you pay attention, when the camera first starts going over the crowd, you can see Slendy's head. Oh man, I really feel like I'm playing it now! Surprised
