I'm thinking Alex is working on some kind of a way to kill or at least disable The Slenderman/Operator. Since the footage where we saw him start drawing all those symbols for the first time, the 'Operator' symbol actually looks to me like Alex is drawing the creatures face and putting a large cross through it. Something about the idea of him working WITH The Slenderman doesn't sit well with me. He seemed terriffied of the concept of it appearing during the footage with Amy, and the fact he's writing 'Help Me' everywhere implies he feels HE'S in danger, rather than he intends to place others in danger. I think the rest of his mad actions are all just the result of an overpowering paranoia.

Note: I need to refresh myself with season two...so....some things are going to be wrong. Feel free to correct me Smile

Hmmm...I think season three will focus on Tim and Jay working together to find out just what The Operator is up to and just what happened to Alex during.

I think Jay and Alex probably grew up together and Jay was always. Tim and Jay after meeting on, quickly became great friends and Jay began to drift away from Alex (he does seem to be annoyed with both of them in and it might not just be Slendy angst in entry #20) Tim probably encouraged Jay to be less passive and more assertive (kind of like the Jay we see in 'present day' in season one)

I think The Operator can't do a lot in our world and that he needs other people to do his work for him, hence the name. Alex managed to gather - the - so that could act as. Back in Slendy's releam, Jay and Alex probably watched as one by one either became Slendy's agents or died in the proccess. Jay, is a pretty good guy (given that he's pretty much given up his entire life to look for Alex), and I think he really helped Tim to surrive the terrors of Slendy's releam and generally not go insane. Somehow, they found a way to escape , but only Jay managed to escape. Alex, by this point, had long escaped and Tim and Jay didn't know if he'd worked for The Operator willingly or was simply under his influence. Tim was converted, but fought hide to retain his own sense of self to protect Jay once he was placed back in our world.

Tim later learnt that Jay had lost his memories due to returning to our world . Tim can mentally shield himself unbestknown to The Operator and informed The Operator that he had killed Jay. Tim has worked long and hard to keep his friend out of danger, but didn't count on his friend posting Alex's footage or undergoing his own investigation. I think Hoody is a simple vessel for The Operator, with his brain damaged by the conversion proccess and unaware of things like YouTube. Thus, Tim's aggression in entry #15 was due to his attempts to mentally shield the conversation from The Operator. Tim tried attacking Jay and scaring him in away in, but reliased that Jay's determination to find Alex was stronger than that (and possibly thought that seeing a mask similar to the other convertees and similar abbilities would be enough to break through the gaps in his memory). I think that Tim, in order to access his abbilities, has to tap into the part of him which is Masky - a violent murdereous being and is in a constant struggle between him and his own sense of self. Whenever The Operator is near, Tim fights harder and harder to retain his sense of self, hence why he left Brian's house in entry without his, so he wouldn't hurt Jay. Since, The Operator has been aware that Tim is not under his control and has been trying to kill both him and Jay.

Since, The Operator has been intent to come after Jay, afraid that he will inform others of his presence and upset his plans. It was Tim who sent the package in, to prompt Jay to investigate what happened and go into hiding, so he wouldn't be easy prey for The Operator. In Entry #52, Tim had plans to reveal himself to both Jessica and Jay, but they were squashed when. Tim has been working hard behind the scenes since then to protect Jay after the mindwipe, but it has become increasingly dangerous to protect Jay and will reveal himself in entry #53 and act as Jay's protector agasint The Operator, Hoody and possibly Alex. However, Jay won't know when Tim is in control or when Masky takes over, creating a very different tension to the one man alone agasint the powers of darkness tension we've had in the previous two seasons.

Or:

Jay and Tim have had a plan to take down The Operator all along, but Tim has mentally conditioned Jay not to remember it. In, Jay's recent investigations had placed him in danger and Tim needed to reprogram Jay appropiatetly so that he wouldn't betray any knowledge of their plan or put it in danger. Tim will unprogram Jay and they will bring down The Operator.

My main problem with these theories is that they sort of do even the playing field slightly and takes away from the horror of the situation, though Smile

Think poor Jay is not careful for any plans in people.

within a week

someone asked tim if it would come out before the 10th and he linked to a picture of a smiley face, so something tells me they've at least shot it by now.

Well, look on the bright side. Marble Hornets already has like four hours of content, which is almost three movies. And they can't drag things out forever, so it has to end eventually.

@Season 3: I dunno, guys. At this rate I can't really see something happening that would get us a new Marble Hornets video on March 10th. Or maybe I'm just being a SUPER PESSIMIST.

As things stand now, it would be J finally meeting Tim, and their conversation. I don't see any Operator intrusion happening at this point.

Maybe Entry 53 will have footage of the shop, to tie in with the Twitter feed.

Something big has to happen in the next two days, if Season 3 is going to start this weekend.

All good things must end. I am glad we have got this much out of the series and although I will be sad when it ends, it couldnt have gone any better.

Well Jay has been tweeting a lot recently so it seems like the next video is coming soon. but i do agree with this:

I think something unexpected will kick off the season, such as Alex finding Jay or something. The whole off season has been about finding Tim, it would unexpected to have Alex thrown back in the fray so soon.

I think it'd be cool if Alex ends up turning over a new leaf in the end, sacrificing himself to save everyone else.

He's a really interesting character, because even though he was a total douchebag in Season 2, I still feel sympathetic toward him. It'd be kind of a bad move not to have him redeem himself.

I really hope we see some kind of alliance between Tim and Jay this season...I don't know what would happen with the totheark channel, though.

Totheark has always confused me, because it seems like the people behind it are either totally insane, or just trying to scare Jay. And if Tim's acting normal now, it seems unlikely that he was the one posting all the totheark videos in Season 2.

Did we ever have any solid theories on who Hoody is? I still like to think it's Seth or Brian, because they're the only two who would make any sense for the part.

Well, after Entry #51 it wouldn't come as a surprise if Brian is Hoody. Troseph have said that Seth is not a mayor character, and given how early we see his final destination (I just had to say that), I think he's quite dead.

Not sure this would be the right thread for this, but I've seen a few people here and there saying Season 3 is gonna be the last one. Is this actually confirmed? Cos I haven't been able to find anything official saying either way.
And with that in mind, any idea if they'd release the DVDs as a special box set? Kinda thinking about putting off the Season 2 DVD just in case there's a box set with some extra cool stuff that's not in these initial releases.

I dunno about the DVD set but we know for a fact that this is the last season.
