Decoded with Base64, you get a binary code. Decode that and you get: i44.tinypic.com/4topjt.jpg


Araenna: To answer your question on Tumblr, I assumed that by the code's structure that it was base 64. After running it through a solver, it became binary. It was simple after that.... This is my go-to for any ciphers. Use this and after a bit you will start to recognize what kind of cipher you are dealing with beforehand. Hope this helps Smile

Thanks! I've been using that a bit, but until I get a bit more used to what things look like, I'm still floundering a bit, heh.

 		Alright. Re-read everything and here is what I think:

Araenna, I thought the same thing as you. But Pater broke into Kyle's house over the holidays. Kyle was staying at his parents house. I don't know locations, but I'm sure that if Kyle stayed at his parent's, then it must be far enough away that he wouldn't just be able to pop back home real quick. Otherwise it seems to me like he would have just visited his parents and slept at his own house. Since a person can't be in two places at once; Pater ≠ Kyle. Kyle is also not dead. He is very much alive. As Pater says, "Could a dead person write a blog?"

I think that Pater is the scientist's son. He says that the text files are from shortly before FATHER chose him. One of the files talks of the scientist's son just turning 9. The same age as the boy who "died" in the crash. So what if the scientist and his son went out looking for Helena and got in a crash? Perhaps the son didn't die, and the entity (who already had Helena, as evidenced by text19) took him to raise him as his own. This would make the entity FATHER, with MOTHER being his (now corrupted) actual mother. So how does Kyle fit in? As Pater says in "the year of our FATHER", his apartment is connected by mere circumstance. I don't think that he is related to the scientist in any way. I think that Pater's feelings of resentment towards Kyle are because he is jealous that FATHER is so interested in Kyle. I think that Pater is under the impression that FATHER has good intentions, but Kyle doesn't see or accept that. This understandably pisses Pater off, just as denouncing God would piss a Christian off. It seem to me that FATHER is not very powerful in our universe without a body. This may be what he needs Kyle for. Perhaps Kyle would make a better proxy than Pater, and that also pisses Pater off. In effect, this makes Kyle and Pater siblings (through FATHER), so that could account for some of the "sibling rivalry" that we have been picking up on.

Why does FATHER need Kyle? I really don't know. And it seems neither does Pater.

What is FATHER's "master plan"? I'm still in the dark here, but I can tell you this:

Blah blah blah fiery wrath bullshit bullshit cleanse the unclean blah blah.

Now, I'm probably wrong about all of this. And there are so many questions left. Who knows how many will be answered by the end of this thing? One thing I know for sure, is that this is a great series and I see it only getting better.


Edit: Umm yeah....

Kyle mentioned in a previous blog entry that he had a younger brother and that his father died in a car crash. The newspaper clipping seems to be about Kyle's father, but what about the boy? Its not clear whether or not Kyle's little brother was with his father in the crash. I emailed Kyle about this. If so, It seems that Pater could in fact be Kyle's younger brother, making the scientist Kyle's bio-dad and Helena his mother (no wonder the name sounds familiar). Im not sure that when Pater refers to FATHER he is talking about the scientist, it could be another entity. However I think that MOTHER is Helena. We will just have to see what Kyle has to say, and draw a better conclusion then. His little brother is the key to this....

 		You may have noticed that Pater and I have been having a private conversation. I can't tell you what it was about because, hey, a promise is a promise, right? All I can say is this, Pater isn't such a bad guy once you get to know him. He has been VERY helpful. And he did say that I can share one thing:

I suggest this: keep communication with Kyle at a high level. Maybe send him at least a message a day.

Kyle is a fragile being and FATHER feeds upon despair.

The lonelier Kyle is the closer FATHER gets, and I need more time.

Oh God.

Freaky.

Personally, I'm reassesing most of what we've seen of the series - and I believe that what we've seen is nothing more then the narrative from a disturbed mind (and that Justin was the guy in the Slendy suit). I post further speculation soon. I think Kyle's 'Dad' found out that he wasn't Kyle's biolgical Father, got drunk and tried to kill his wife and 'son' and that the entire series has been about Kyle tring to deal with this. I'll post more detailed speculations about this later, if no-one minds.

I agree somewhat. I think paternoster doesn't actually exist. This "younger brother" is just a split personality. Of course, Slendy could just be screwing with us.
