 		American Horror Story
**POSSIBLE** ARG or puzzle trail
I regret to admit I still check Bloody Disgusting {a travesty of a horror genre news site, that's all I'll say on that} and came upon something that both intrigued and infuriated me.

There is a new show coming out for FX called "American Horror Story" it has been a bit on the shrouded in mystery side. The trailers/teasers look confusing, at times almost reality TV-ish {a person in full black latex, a la Squeegel from Level 26, sneaks up on lots of "random" people and they freak out} and almost seems as if they have nothing to do with the show's plot as has been released so far {a family falling apart moves to a big old traditional haunted house in LA purchased from a gay interior designer, played by the ever sexy Zachary Quinto, has wacky neighbors such as a girl with down syndrome who may be the only person who understands the house and her mom, Jessica Lange… or that's the rumored plot at best}.

Now, what intrigued me was the concept of a Horror ARG - cause I'm all about them for better or worse {paranormal activity anyone?}. What infuriated me was this article called this a "revolutionary campaign". I always get a bit indignant at media discussing ARGs or puzzle trails – they always mess everything up. But this did force me to make a thread here, since I hate dealing with the main community over there. SO I did a bit of research.

If you go to the official website http://www.youregoingtodieinthere.com it is pretty empty.

asks for your standard info – full real name, email address, birthday, terms & service confirmation. It also asks for, but isn't required, your snail mail addy – for the artifact of course, right?

Gee, I hope so. Because see, there is a second official promo site that I WON'T be signing up for that might explain the videos of latex guy jumping out at "random" people - http://ahshousecall.com/ which says it lets you

 		There has been a series of very short teaser clips shown on TV, mere blips of a scene that add up to barely 15 seconds each including the title slate. They're up on YouTube, but the interface is wonky on my home computer for some reason. The channel has other clips in there, such as a 10-minute trailer, so look for the shortie shorts -- they're labeled by Clue # as if they WANT people to think there is a puzzle to solve, but I think it's just an artificial mystery set up within the show.

 		I am intrigued... But as far as the videos, isn't (Untitled) just part of Lying Down? Looked that way to me, but I may be missing something/misremembering.

Okay, so before the couple even met, the woman sold her soul to Satan. Then, she met the guy and they...umm...you know. She got pregnant, but technically, the baby belong to the Devil. She didn't want to give the baby up after falling in love with it, so he pushed her down the stairs, took the baby, and lit the house on fire (fire being the symbolism for Hell) but the husband was there, too, and everyone but the baby and satan himself died. The cello means he played them.

 		Ooo I'm on to this...just nervous of things jumping out at me. :S

Artifact from the show...pretty cool...or freaky considering it's a horror show.

Sounds very Amnityville horror...hmm..I like Very Happy

Plus would someone in the US partner up with me since I'm up in Canada and would like the artifact/be able to play.

So, right now there's the Living Room, Kitchen, Upstairs Room(?), and a Study, I guess? Whatever leads off from there is apparantly locked. I'm debating if it's worth listing all the current clickables. Confused

Love you but I love her as well - implying that it may be the original woman who dies and not necessarily the 'mistress' as it were... although it could also, inversely, imply a different type of affection - mother/daughter / sisters [as the picture possibly implies]~??

some items have a padlock - assuming they'l be unlocked later - upload and register requires having a 'unique item code' to upload and therefore unlock that 'item' in the house...

Really like the video being scannable forward and back - anyone else notice the lady in black leading the girl being ery similar to girl in 80's by the 'v couple' as it were...
Also - the two girls at beginning - they look like they may have Down's syndrome possibly due to facial characteristics - NOT a comment on such - just might be a part of the story - especially as we're dealing with multiple decade's here and therefore attitudes changing [thinking akin to quantum leap...?] - apologies if not to any this may cause offence to.

Can anyone tell me what the crime scene report says in the 40's - can only pick out a few words... thanks.

Well, it's pretty messy Smile
I took a screenshot and if I played with the levels some, I could make out a few of the words. Their image is a JPEG, which means color-based manipulations turn out pretty noisy, so it's not as easy as just canceling out the red. This is all I could get, without spending hours... ? is something I'm even less sure about, _ indicates something I couldn't read, but could be several words.

First block

Suicide victim
_ dob 11/09/09? _ 120 lbs broad _

clothing _ no indication of bleeding. Appearance of
