 		Character Speculation: Jessica
I just noticed (I'm a little slow) that the girl in the hotel with Jay and Amy's roommate are both named Jessica. I'm beginning to think they might be the same person?

Or I could have totally missed something in which case this should be disregarded.

I figured as much. But Jay doesn't seem to have made that connection. I'm also interested in her relation to Masky.

 		How do we know they are the same person? :0 I also made that connection and speculation, but I thought after #47 it was obvious that they were two different people. Surely he would have recognized the voice or vice versa?

 		Jay made that connection perhaps a few months ago, when he saw and released Entry #43 (I think?).

 		Okay, maybe that was a bit harsh. But really guys, there's a timeline in the stickied threads and it's just one little harmless click away.

Entry 47 takes place a few months before Jay wakes up in the hotel, and the voice over the phone is undeniably Jessica's. They just hadn't met yet at that point.

Also, on a threadrelated note, I did miss a Jessica thread. There's a lot we don't know about her yet, and I'm sure she's going to play a big roll in later entries.

Interesting, but I'm thinking quite the contrary. We don't know much about her currently... Besides that she was Amy's roomate, she lost months of memory similar to Jay, and that her phone has been disconnected (presumably dead..).

Well I think we'll at least get to know what happened to her during/after Jay's discovery of the tapes and his escape from the hotel. Although it seems unlikely to happen before season 3.
Ofcourse it's a pretty wild guess, but I have the feeling that there's more to her though.

We know they're the same person because they are the same person. It would be silly to have two completely different characters who have the same name, especially when the entry you reference seems to be an obvious indication of events that lead up to Jay and Jessica being in the same hotel.

Also, the reason Jay doesn't recognize her voice later is because he doesn't remember it. The whole focus of this season is that Jay lost his memory of the seven months between the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2, and he has been watching the tapes he found in the hotel as a way to try to remember it all.

(Also, as a side note, can you please stop making your text so small in every one of your posts? It's very hard for me to read and I have to increase the text size in my browser every time, then shrink it back down to read everyone else's posts.)
