Abduction Seal (rules & voting help)

Yes, understanding these mechanisms will help many people. I'm currently in a game and will fill you in as it progresses, but I am stumped currently.

Just received a mail via the initiator of the game, and it seems I have voted and survived... Now I never ever did actually participate, only checked every half hour or so if anything was happening game wise. BUT I do have the seal, and so do the other participants, except thomfabian who got �voted� as alien.

Yeah, I think the system isn't working right. Maybe it got overloaded?

Trying not to give anything important away: I am an earthling in several games, and the earthling vote has occurred already in most of them -- but I got the notice of how to after the vote had already taken place. In one of these games, I was actually voted out (accused of being an alien), and I'm fairly sure the others did not vote at all.
None of the games I'm in has ended, and I don't have the seal.

Could someone who was selected as an alien log on here as Guest and tell us what happens when you're an alien?

This is disappointing. Maybe P or M or someone will be able to fix it.

I was told by P that I was voted out by villagers in one game, but one of the other players mailed me that I got abducted.

I only just got to vote (daytime) but all games where I'm still in says 2 abductions -- including where I'm Alien and I know I didn't abduct anybody.

In one game I was in - and got voted out for real, as an alien - the other alien subsequently got abducted by aliens! Clearly Skynet has taken over the RNG.
And the clock function, from the looks of my email box.

one game I'm in, the other alien left (notice from P).
so I'd read teh threads here and tried to suicide too (couldn't see how to vote), but only got a 404 screen

now I can't get back to that game (can still get into others) but the people who didn't have the seal still don't have it
