Have an idea on a game

I'm John, and I now in Alexandria VA. I've been contemplating a game that is true to the term arg, but not really like anything I've seen before. Instead of a collaborative model where the game master and the players all have the same objective, to help the players win, it involves a competitive model between two or more teams. The game can be played when two or more people in a given geographic area want to play. These originators meet and exchange objects of some value. It is now up each originator to recruit a team to somehow retrieve the object. The object can be hidden anywhere. The team can perform any action by either acting it out, or off too dangerous, than by use of a totem. A totem is a symbol that means player is about to explain an action rather than perform it. The onLy rule is that the action must match the setting. You can't torture someone for info in a busy street.

I've thought of several strategies for this game, and I'd be interested in a competitor in my area.

So it's like a Capture-The-Flag/LARP thing? I'm in, but there aren't any ARG-players in my area either. :/

Sorry to say that competition (vs. collaboration) is not a new idea and so far has never worked. I doubt it would be scalable past a few people and since they'll want to protect their team knowledge bases from each other, as puppetmaster you'll likely have no way to know what they're discussing internally or how they are progressing.
