 		I can only hear 'what's that noise, can you hear that?' on the one track when i mix them down to mono.

 		by using noise reduction on a part near the end of the file, after converting it into stereo, two tracks, you can hear that at some point the track is different on each side, one side you hear almost a robotic voice but I can't make it out, other side sounds sped up but I can't get it any clearer, I will work on it at home with my audio software instead of the free audacity I have here. If it helps any, it is the part that, to me, sounds like a bad space alien movie that needed the noise reduction. In the hint he does say something about phase cancellation - closest you can get to that on audacity is noise reduction as far as I know. Good work all so far, I asked him for a hint, we will see what he says.

oh and for that part, I think hes saying, honey - not hoodie.

 		I cut the sections from 0-4 and 4-8 and also 12-16 and 16-20. Separating and inverting and who knows what else and found that the burger and what's that noise both seemed to be in the other tracks but other than that and an annoying droning in the background I think this is where I officially bow out.

edit to add: during the screaming at the end I heard what sounded like "e c" separated by gun shots but nothing else.

also wanted to say: because of the massive number of tracks I had open, it is entirely possible I may have made a mistake

 		As an aside, has anybody cracked the "be_in_touch" page marked with the hashtag? It sounds like a very slow morse code, but doesn't seem to be producing anything logical when I count it out.

 		The title of 2-4 is linear matrix. Phrases are repeated and overlap. I'm thinking we have two pieces of each phrase or sequence. One is clean, the other has a background that doesn't fit. If the title is a hint like the others have been, maybe we need to put the story in order? I don't know if I'm making sense, but I feel like this was a barbeque at a picnic. And then the man hears a faint noise. And then chaos.

Also, phase 2 is focused on frequency. That robotic voice towards the end stands out. How do you delete a frequency. Or can you?

You delete a freq by using a parametric EQ with a high Q value and drop the DB of that freq, like we did with soroban.

So, to break it down:

1a 0.0 to 4.0:

It begins with a laugh, sprinkler in the background and a guy saying 'Hey Hunny, how many burgers do you want?'

1b 4.0 to 8.0

1a repeates with more noise and a guy saying 'Hold On, What's that noise? Do you hear that?

So in theory 1a should be placed under 1b. 1a should then be inverted to create phase cancelation removing all of the 1a sound. You should then be able to play the 1b section with only hearing the new audio.

This pattern also presents it self towards the end with the girls screaming...

I'll give it a shot and she what I come up with. I'm thinking we need to cut up the file, moved it around and then phase cancel...

5 sections of 4 seconds a piece. I'm guessing they all need to be lined up and phase canceled...Audacity is a PIA for this kind of editing tho

I think I understand as much as I possibly could have. I'm so bad at this stuff, but normally I give up at stuff I suck at. This, however, is keeping me entertained. I hope I can learn this stuff, 'cause I'm getting addicted. Thank you very much for your explanation, sir. Smile

 		alright, i'm getting close. I've run out of options now.

I've cut apart the five sections to cancel out and refine the audio. I just have no idea what to do with part 5.
