What do you guys make of that "I'm going to play the Everyman" line? Is it just a reference to the Guardian role, foreshadowing the events at Evan's house? Or should we be looking at Jeff as THE Everyman, who was a different character and the focus of the Everyman morality play? Think I'll revisit the Box 5 discussion.

On another note... There's a tree I've been tending for ages now. I haven't spelled it out here before because it's mostly conjecture, but after this video, I figured what the hell. So here it is: I've long thought Dr. Corenthal isn't out of the picture for good. If he's not alive in body, hiding out in a retirement home somewhere, he's alive in the same way HABIT, the Rake, and Slenderman are alive--as some larger-than-death force waiting in the wings to balance the power in the guys' favor. (Just to be clear on the latter theory, I don't think he was always that kind of force; rather, after his experiences with the MT4 and what came after, he gained some knowledge that allowed him to "graduate" or evolve into that state. I prefer that idea, because it offers hope that not everything is predetermined. The guys could eventually win.)

We're definitely approaching the endgame "final battle" stage. But as it stands now, the guys have no hope of winning. They've never even won a battle. So unless we're in for a terribly dark ending--which is admittedly totally possible--we need some new element to come into play on their side. So my first reaction after the last three or so videos has been "Where the hell is Dr. C?!" Seems to me that he's the only one who could have an edge on these monster antagonists.

Maybe I'm way off base here, but I think we should try to push whoever we can into following up with the Maryann angle. Even if Dr. C's been dead as a door nail for years, she could potentially have some major insight that would help turn the tide in the guys' favor. I just don't know who we'd push. Evan's obviously out, Vinnie's highly suspect, and Jeff, whom I would've pegged as the eventual hero, seems to be either dead or unreachable.

If the Vinnie theory is correct...it would explain the fact that his beard was mysteriously shaved in a believable fashion.

Anybody else feel like we missed an opportunity with the idea to find Maryann? I know Ouroborus said he brought it to their attention a lot over email, but maybe they needed more consensus. It just feels like they were slapping us in the face with it.... as if to say "this is what you were supposed to tell us!" and now because of this we as players are locked into a bad outcome (jeff being hurt)
I don't know maybe not I just feel like we may have blown it.

In the understandable rush to make sure Jeff is okay, I think we missed something important.

"No, no no. Remember, it took a million hours to edit, and then it never got uploaded because that's when stuff started going down?"

Is it possible that some of the hidden footage came from this trip, instead? I doubt that it was just idly thrown in there.

First off, who is Seth? Jeff shouts for "Seth" once when he's in Evan's house, so who's Seth?

Secondly, pretty sure Nick is dead and the black and white was ghost footage.

Thirdly, Vinnie. What to say about Vinnie? The email thing was odd but what struck me as really weird was him saying that the endless filming was "all he had left." I know Vin lost some people too in this adventure but to say filming is "all he has left" is bit unhealthy. It smacks too much of Alex's "mother box" and sock puppet.

I don't think Vinnie's planned anything per se (at least, nothing we've seen so far) but I think he's definitely withholding a lot. More than we've guessed at. I hate to see the team splitting up now when a lead's just surfaced but things don't look good.

On a different note, I find it hilarious that this thread is starting to sound like a thread about the Rapture, what with people talking about the prophecy. There's a depressing feeling of inevitability hovering over the thread. Someone should go to Jersey and shoot Daniel to show we still have some power to help out. Very Happy

He says "Steph". The pregnant one. As for Nick, I think that was a bit of a time jump. I think in the past, Nick said that to Evan, but Jeff went through a time jump and thought it was toward him.

Honestly, I think it makes sense. The outfits they wore during the infamous "door kick" were not the outfits they were wearing during the Day in the Life, leading me to believe it was on another trip. Might also explain when they found those other bags of blood and we heard the girl's voice talking.

So in short Jeff may or may not be dead or otherwise out of the picture.
Evan's responsible for it.
Vince is suspect. And if you don't mind me saying, if he's NOT suspect, I suspect he's already gone.
We haven't the slightest clue if Steph is alive/active/even trustworthy (thank ya, Zeke) or how to contact her.

I don't see where there's anything we *Can* do unless someone answers emails. Smells like 'hold onto your seat here comes endgame' time.

2) This leads me to believe that Vince is the one we have the most evidence of being inHABITed, if not HABIT himself. He is the voyeur of the group. He's the one that owns the cameras, and ultimately the one who leads the group to in each situation. Jeff doesn't want the camera on him because anytime the camera is out, bad shit happens. Evan is starting catch on, and being as he's going to be a father, I think we're about to see his aggression on the group go to 11. He saw the camera light and prepared knowing that someone was going down. Why else would he have blatantly exposed himself on the camera like that at the end?

And one more thing for the Vince is the one that inHABITed, let's go back to the Seven Trials. Notice how HABIT wanted alot of the challenges on video. It's a Voyeurism trait. He wants to watch.

Even more agreement!!! And lets not forget when Alex and him were in the car on the way to the funeral and he conveniently shut off the camera during Alex's confession. There are just too many moments piling up where Vinnie does something extremely suspect :< And it's only been getting more and more obvious.

Vince can't be evil! He's too hot, I mean look at that beard-
Oh. Crap, I just proved myself wrong. Everyone knows hot and bearded=evil. HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS SOONER. *weep*

Seriously, though, definitely feels like we're heading towards an endgame here. I am officially unsure about everything, to be honest, other than the fact Evan seems inHABITed, and Vince is a liar. Those are the only thing I personally feel sure at all about, and even then, I am probably wrong.

Is anyone else under the impression that Jeff has been taken hostage? Not the"stabstab now you can go", but "You will be locked in my basement and force to endure tons of pain" kind of thing?

The ending's coming up fast and it's going to be so dark. I think Vinny will be on his own, still trying to put the puzzle together until the very last moment. Jeff will probably be in no position to help and I honestly think Evan is a lost cause now. Everything depends on the next few bits of footage we get. And since Mary Ann is probably at Baldplate, that's probably where everything goes down.

Vinny is hiding things (as we've established), but I don't think he's inHABITed. Maybe a few times, but not right now. He has his own agenda, but I don't think he's been doing anything out of malice.

That's a fair point. Originally, I figured that "You won't bleed out" just meant that HABIT wasn't gonna give Jeff the time to bleed out; he'd kill him quickly.

But HABIT seems to enjoy suffering. Also, if you'll look back to his posts on CYSTW, his victims were unable to die when he "experimented" on them.

Looking at it now, it's even more disturbing, because "Don't worry, you won't bleed out Razz" could mean "No matter what I do to you, you're not going to die, so we're gonna have some fun." Food for thought.
