Goddamn. This one freaked me out... I think it seemed especially scary because Vinnie seems so... defenseless without anyone else around. He's just the camera guy. He doesn't have Jeff to batman tackle anyone, or Evan to be stabbing dudes and throwing them out of windows. He's just so... small and afraid. Good acting on his part, had me very on edge.

Also, I haven't compared too closely, but isn't it possible the footage in 24 months is from the same time, but it's somebody else seeing Vince coming with his blue light?

I echo your sentiments regarding this video. This series has interested me,perplexed and confused me and even had me concerned for the characters--but it has never scared me/made me feel uneasy.Tonight, that changed.

As for your speculation regarding the light--I began to wonder that when Vinnie approached the pool--and even moreso when he got to the enclosure gate, but then stopped and turned around.

My heart about stopped when Vinnie caught his reflection in the mirror (it appeared his did, too) and during my first viewing of this entry,I didn't realize it was his own reflection he saw--so I was kinda confused until my second viewing.
Then,a bit later,Slondors appears and bricks were shat Shocked
The feeling of fear, dread and suspense I experienced while viewing this is exactly why I started watching SlenderVlogs and "Not Dead Yet" had all these elements in spades--BRAVO!

All the partially dried blood stains on the tissues and sheets would seem to indicate that, although it's nine days later, Jeff was tortured quite recently. And lost a shoe.

Nice touch having Vinnie mention the previous warnings he's received. It means that these events didn't actually occur several weeks ago and HABIT really did pull the footage featured in "Twenty-four months" FROM THE FUTURE!!

Vinnie really needs to update us now on what is going on. I mean, with all we know, he may be the last player/communicator we got atm.

I also love how he finds a Converse and goes "OH SHIT, must belong to the Hipster!!" Laughing

Hasn't Slendy saved Jeff before? What if he saved him again this time from HABIT.

Actually, in the 24 Months vid, at around 4;13 it has Vin's footage of him walking up to the pool gate and backing away, just like he did here.

So Habit has all this footage in advance of the situation itself, it seems.

Also, Evan's family (that we've never seen anyway) is long gone, pretty obviously. Vin doesn't even bother to mention them.

Well, that looked...grim. At least nothing bad happened to Vinnie.

The footage of the gate was interesting. With Slendy's presence, that could mean the other footage was patched over, just like the footage in Damsel.

And speaking of Damsel, where the hell is everybody? Evan, Steph, Jeff, and HABIT all seem to have just vanished. I get the feeling Vinnie will be finding Corenthal on his own.

"As wierd as it sounds....I almost feel safer behind a camera."

This leads me to believe that he has a sense of protection with that no weapon would give him. I'm thinkin' Slenderman has something to do with that OR the fact that he's always been the cameraman.

Where did Evan take Jeff? What is Vince's next move?

All on next week's (hopefully) episode of EveryManHybrid!

EDIT: Seriously though, now that I'm thinking about it, what was Slendy looking for? the same thing as Vince? I'm thinkin' epic battle time.

Vince & Slenderman vs. HABIT possesed Evan and ?

The Rake, of course. While Jeff hangs behind, attempting to go all Guardian on Steph. Slenderman will win, as Evan will defect and self-immolate and all that. Then Jeff defies and Vinnie swallows and Steph uploads the last video.

Next week? I'm hoping for another one today Very Happy

Oooookay dat vid.
Uh, first thing that sticks out is that Evan's knife was there but I don't think anyone but Slends was. Was Slends looking out for Vince? Vince saw himself in the mirror but nobody attacked him at the pool. Very weak tree: He attacks himself at the pool to stop something from happening or to punish himself? Where the hell was everyone? If the tree is not correct, did we somehow affect a change? Jeff's "prediction" video in "24 months" came true, but Vin's just passed. What exactly does the Voyeur do? Vince was making more comments about having the camera...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Vinny DID do a great job!

I'm really feeling the "twenty four months" footage was a sort of "bad end" scenario that's now been changed either because we (the fans) saw the footage and were able to subtle change Vinnie's approach to going to Evan's house OR because Vinnie's first attempt (or attempts) ended in a "bad end" while this one (appears to have) gotten it right.

I prefer the first theory because it's less pre-deterministic, so we and the guys still have some choice in the matter.

Still not sure how to interpret Slendy here. He didn't seem threatening Vinnie (at least no more than usual). He was just standing around, at a pretty good distance from Vinnie too. I think he might have been watching over him in this video. If so, then this leads to an interesting thought....

Maybe, despite all the power we think of Slendy as having, he's still limited in what he knows and can do. If he was here watching over Vinnie, then it suggests he wasn't sure what would happen. He's playing it by ear like the rest of us. Maybe he isn't so much in control or even in the know as just a bit more capable of being everywhere at once than everyone else.

I can't imagine not getting an explanation for the drowning footage after all the teasers we've been getting thus far, but that's still possible.
Also, can we trust that red blood=fresh? The stuff in this vid looks fairly dry, despite the color.

I like this. It's looking more and more like they have respawned several times throughout the series. Perhaps the reason that Vince waited this long wasn't because he was waiting, but because he tried and failed, then respawned. Possibly more than once.

Both the footage of Vinnie backing away from the pool gate and the footage of someone going up on the deck of the pool are included in the 24 months video.

I suppose that might be showing both possible outcomes?

Also, I wonder... since it was Easter, has Habit taken up crucifying things again? Maybe Vinnie should go to Baldpate and check out the tree. Shocked
Since the blood in the basement is pretty fresh (you can see it on Vin's fingers when he picks up the chain), Vinnie can still catch them in time.

(Looping around to another wild supposition... Odin was hung from the Yggdrasil for 9 days, with a wound in his side... eeeh, maybe too wild of a connection...)

Oh jesus what the fuck. Okay uh let's hope that particular idea isn't right.
EDIT: Also, yeah. I am starting to really think there is enough evidence to believe this is a case of reiterations, and something actually went right. I wonder if that means with Jeff, something went wrong? Did we miss a step somewhere?
