No, I think you guys are right.

There is some definite wording to suggest/imply this is like a camera/video thing

Re-post, so it won't get skipped by people (hope this is OK):

Quote:
The "Slendertweets" calling the kids "my children" did hint, to me, at a connection with Corenthal. Totally.

But I always rather saw the "demons" connected to the kids, individually. So... I think there is a connection, somehow, but I have no idea how so.

CandleJeff's comment about "one of them" in the Candleverse kinda... it almost made it seem there is more than one Slendercreature. As if we are them.

Corenthal dreaming up the irl circumstances also makes me think of the clips the NJ-Four cannot see (and when they are exposed to them, something bad happens). We are made seeing them, and when the four come in contact with them, a memory of the past is played out via their bod-

hey...

HEY; WAIT A SECOND!!

What if this IS just like a computer game, the kids are sort of the consoles, the "souls" are the different safe-games, and there are various ways to access the game, one of them via sleeping, one of them via the "hidden videos" etc. etc. etc.?

Is HABIT the... the PLAYER of this game??????????????????????
Looking back at games like GTA or this one where the possessed guy can run through the street and cause horrible things to happen... what if HABIT is the player of a game... and what we see IS the game?? And we are kind of HABIT's bros that watch over his shoulder??

Also, if we connect the Corenthal letters to the ink ribbons via RE, then maybe... they are sort of Corenthal's saves, which is why he was able to pop back up in the one video.

Just to tie it back in, Iteration/Alternate Timeline Theory totally works if you view it like a video game. You die, go back to the last save point, do it differently.

Absolutely. We could even see Candleverse as the place the "avatars" go to when the game is being shut off. It would also explain why things happen over and over again, as the player, HABIT, re-starts the game (or if we are the player and HABIT the villain, then we re-start it by pressing the play button on youtube).

The question is just... game or no game, how can we lead/help the guys to reach the "Good +" ending, instead of the "Bad -" or "Dog" ending??

I think from here on out we're going to have to pick our moves even more carefully.

Absolutely. Especially with GF and, potentially, the Rabbits being in there, keeping their body alive.

Heck, even the purple tape seems like one of these "videogame" things, where an item you have to pick up, or something significant in general, glows in a bright color (and the boxes were used in Resident Evil as well, to store items).

What would be the significance of the drowning scene we keep seeing in the video game theory? Is that just how the game ends, or perhaps that happens every time the game is shut off?

Considering we're in the middle of discussing the Iteration theory, I feel I should probably lay out my theory about EMH. I am going to assume you all know about the Iteration Theory, so I won't go into explaining it.

To start, let's take a look at Box 5. Box 5 contains the infamous "Everyman and other Miracle and Morality Plays" with the Firebrand, Guardian and Voyeur annotations. In these annotations, there are three roles described: The Firebrand, the Guardian and the Voyeur. According to the annotations:
"THE VOYEUR SHALL WATCH FROM AN EMOTIONAL DISTANCE, INSISTING UPON MAINTAINING THEIR STRENGTH. THE FIREBRAND SHALL DISREGARD OBVIOUS DANGER AND ASSUME THE ROLE OF FORCE THE GUARDIAN SHALL LOSE HIS HEART AND THEN HIS BLOOD AND FIGHT TO LOSE ALL HE LOVES THE VOYEUR SHALL REMAIN IDLE TO ALL WHO SEE, HOWEVER BUSY HE MAY BE BENEATH THE FIREBRAND SHALL LEAD AN OFFENSE AS HE MIGHT, ONLY TO SUCCUMB TO THE WAR WITHIN THE FIREBRAND SHALL DEFECT AND SELF-IMMOLATE, NO LONGER DEFINING THE TWO WITHIN THE GUARDIAN SHALL DEFY A GOD ONLY TO BE DEALT A FATAL BLOW THE VOYEUR SHALL SWALLOW JUSTICE'S SWORD" Many people have come to the conclusion that Vinnie is the Voyeur, Evan is the Firebrand and Jeff is the Guardian, and I do agree with those suggestions. However, there is one notable quote that I feel many ignore or misinterpret in the book: "THE GREAT FLOOD SHALL WASH AWAY ALL THE ASH, READYING THE WORLD FOR ANOTHER GREATER, CYCLE"

Where I feel the misinterpretation lies is how many people conclude that this is a piece of evidence proving the Iteration Theory, and leave it at that. They do not take the extra step in tying it into anything else. I do feel, however, that this ties into the roles described. The annotations describe the roles, say that "we are on the same sinking vessel" and then have this quote. This to me says that the great flood quote ties into the roles. The question is, how? If the Iteration Theory is true, then Vinnie, Jeff and Evan are reincarnations. The Theory also says that only when they die do they get reborn. Yet we have the great flood quote tying into this. Iteration Theory + roles + "great flood" quote = In my mind, in order for the Iteration Theory to occur, Jeff, Vinnie and Evan have to fulfill the roles described in the annotations.

Oooh, the game theory is pure brilliance.

But... I don't know if Habit is playing it... maybe WE are playing it.

Or maybe Habby and Slenderman are playing against each other?

To use Anonymousity's terminology I think the drowning is the "Bad -" ending.

"Damn it, stop collecting every knife you see, and get back to the actual story!"
"Dude, you're seriously doing the "Knock up your girlfriend" side quest? Laaaame."
"No, no, don't kill him! You'll get more points if you leave him alive, trust me."
"I still think you should have played as Vince."

Just the typical theories, running in several directions, and random humor.

I'm just going to toss out there that the order of the scariness from least to greatest now goes: Slenderman, HABIT, Rake.

Heck, we have no proof that the Slenderman has done anything actually like, bad. Besides maybe protecting the boys? Seems like everything is the Rake and HABIT. Like, Jessa and Jessie's disappearances have been blamed on Slendy, but we don't really know that he was the one who did anything.

I like the theory about Slendy and HABIT playing against each other in this video game. So all of the boxes are like collectibles. Perhaps we are on a team, either Slendy's or Habit's. We have to help Slendy protect the boys by finding all of HABIT's little tricks and gifts.
