Has anyone else thought that Corenthal might have also come to save Jeff and Steph? It would explain why they would be in the sanctuary "holding the fort". It's also been noted that Slenderman had a particular interest in Vinnie. Maybe Corenthal can keep Jeff and Steph in the sanctuary, but doesn't want to attract the attention of Slenderman by keeping Vinnie there too.

Also, I'm of the belief that Corenthal was not possessed by HABIT in the video. Sorry Razz

I just have one question that maybe you guys can help me answer.

What did Dr. C/HABIT/Whoever that was say right before opening the door and shooting at Slendy? He says something and Vinnie's like "What?", but I can't make it out.

Anyone know what he said?

"Son, listen to me. When you see these things, do not trust them. Do not <Help> them. Do not try to kill them. Better yet, duck your head and run the other way."

Also, yeah, now I know that it's Dr. C after looking back through and hearing the badass "the doctor is in" one-liner.

Thanks, but that's not what I meant. I was talking about the line after that. Vinny says "Not a problem" and then Dr. C says something else that I can't understand right before opening the door.

Painting Edit

Levels adjusted and cropped--Whoever it is appears to have long hair and is wearing a JESTER'S hat!

Did that painting ever appear in her CYSTW videos?

@ "they all have a monster" - I've figured there might be a connection between Jeff and Slender Man since Jeff was dressed like him in the Candleverse video. I think there were also some hints that Steph might be the Rake. But I can't remember what all they were. I really need to rewatch these sometime...

As to the "words on the back" question, every stretched canvas I have seen (the kind you use for paintings) has a little note card for the title, artist, etc.

It's probably just the title, Steph's name (in game of course) and the signature.

OOG:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The reason they didn't show the back in detail is probably because either it wasn't actually done by Steph, or Stephs' actress isn't named Stephanie, so to prevent confusion, they don't focus on it.

Also, I put up the Corenthal=inHABITed thingy up on the youtube page, but since I couldn't directly link the picture, I offered to send anyone who asked a PM with the link to the page with the picture. YAY TRAFFIC!

Thanks for doing that. When I posted the image of the painting above,I forgot to add that I had also checked the back of the painting and saw it was just the basic stamp all canvases have and then the places you noted too cuz my GF's an artist/Art professor at 2 colleges and it just lookes like the back of every painting I've seen that she's done.
I don't follow this vlog as intently as some others here do--remind me who the "Jester" is supposed to be,please?

We've never had a "Jester" in the game (other than FRA and god help us if this is a reference to him...) but it could be a stylized Joker.... And the Joker in the cards found with Box 5 was labelled HABIT.

Oh,ok.I just asked cuz I saw a reference to "The Jester's Prize" on the wiki I was looking at and looked at again just now,but now that you mention it,I vaguely remember the cards and they were supposedly maybe meant to symbolize each of the gang,so I thought it may be a significant clue regarding who that is in the painting.
Also--You're quite welcome,no probs! (regarding your 'thank you" for cleaned up image.

The other detail is we catch brief glance of the shed from the candleverse.... around 0:59. Surprised no one else caught this.

What a fantastic video and I think it proves that the guys have yet to give up! (Although given the size of some of the revelations, perhaps it is coming to a conclusion?) The direction was wonderful, with the teleportation's seamlessly incorporated. It's nice to see Slendy been given a slightly larger, more suspenseful role. It was probably the scariest EMH video to date.

When we first saw Dr.C, I thought it was an older Evan until I recognised him. The mannerisms were near exact (I would not have been surprised one bit if he randomly pulled out a knife half way through their talk!) When I recognised him, I had a feeling he may have been InHABITed. The purple tinge merely confirmed my suspicions.

If I had to make one complaint, it was the fact that Vice was alone. One of the things that I have always liked about EMH was the fact that, unlike Marble Hornets and TribeTwelve, it was a group of friends (an actual family if you will) facing the darkness together. With Vice being by himself, his musings to the audience felt a little forced at times, such as with the picture. Although I guess you could say that treating the audience as his companion is his way of dealing with the strangeness and grieve, and his loneliness dose give the series a much more eerie and unexpected feel. Vince is alone now, with very few leads and people to turn to. I'm sure it will turn also out for the best characterization wise. Oh, I seem to have convinced myself that the complaint wasn't much a complaint after all. Good for me, although I hope it doesn't finish by turning in to a more MH style series. That would be a shame...

I'm still rather new to the EMH world, and haven't indulged myself in all of the extended lore bar the videos and tweets, but an idea did just pop in to my head... what if Dr.C/HABIT was actually one of the monsters he was talking about, the ones trying to get in to the inner sanctum? What if Slenderman is in fact the Keeper of the Candleverse, for lack of a better word, who was 'kicked out' by HABIT and is now trying to restore balance and order and get back in? The Rake could be one of HABITS fellow monsters, a goon of sorts, hence why Slendy seems to 'protect' or 'interfere' sometimes when The Rakes attacks. I know the idea that Slendy is in fact not evil isn't very popular, but I have always had a soft spot for the theory that he is ether a protector, or at least he isn't entirely evil by our definition of the word.

Anyway, that's a little theory of mine, I'm sure it can be totally debunked within seconds, but I like to think these things up ^_^'

I'm a bit perturbed by Vin's "gasp" after the first Slendy sighting.

Is this finally proof of the whole "reset" theory?

M'kay just some more clarifying stuff here.
I do not think Corenthal IS HABIT. I think HABIT was impersonating Corenthal in this video. If you want, I can give a list of possible evidence.
Everyone under the impression Corenthal is Vince's biological father- he is not his father. Corenthal adopted the Fairmount Four, including Vince, and refers to them in his letters as his children. There was nothing surprising about him calling Vinny "son". He would likely call any of the other three son or daughter, in Steph's case.
Newish question- am I crazy or did Vince call Corenthal "John", instead of James?
