Yo yo, it's been forever since I've frequented this forum and also the mibbitchat. I've got quite a bit to say so I guess there's going to be a wall of text. Sorry.

Lots of talk going on about the way that Vin's acting. I think it's pretty normal. As has been previously mentioned, he's going through quite a bit, and some of his reactions may be attributed to shock, although I quite like the mention that he has trouble facing the reality of the situations he's in and would rather view them through the lense of the camera (whomever stated that put it quite well). But also I think it's important to remember the group dynamics of the base crew, including before they were actually in all this mess. He seems to have always been the most sensible and neutral character, and it is easy to see Vinnie being the calm center of the group for however many years they've been together, quite frankly he doesn't exhibit a particularly dramatic personality. Concerning the more 'vouyeristic' qualities that everyone is talking about, unless he's been the one putting up the cameras (and we don't have any real evidence of this, do we?), I think most of these are normal reactions that people are hyping up because of the firebrand/vouyer/etc thing (although it is true that the play wouldn't have been introduced if it wasn't important, especially since one of the characters has a name intertwined with the piece of literature). It's very natural to see what you want to see or to make implications, and I'm betting that unless Vinnie gets more vouyeristic in the next few videos, that that's exactly what's happening. For instance, his whole 'let's film jesse' thing; there could be a number of perfectly rational reasons for the event (though i can't speak for the intination of his voice, it certainly did seem odd). People have a hard time looking away from things that they don't want to see, soemtimes, or perhaps he's just so desensitized that he wants to factual knowledge, and doesn't care about the gore or the death of a close friend (his gf died recently, right? shutting down emotionally is a coping mechanism that we've seen in Jeff a lot, but it doesn't have to be limited to one person as it is a human phenomena). Or perhaps he had some slight hope that Evan was wrong and that Jesse was still alive, and wanted to check for himself. To add to this, vinnie as the calm center, transforming naturally through the stressful situations into Vinnie being the one and only thing holding the group together (it could be argued, although likely he is just a main factor), means that he needs to understand everything going on in order to know how to best deal with the situation and best help the group as a whole, so trying to /know/ things , which can be seen as vouyeristic, isn't really all that odd. If he's somehow incorperated the hybrids into the group he feels he has some need to keep in good standing, filming is certainly the way to go, since when there isn't filming there's an outcry on our end as to 'what happened' and 'we could have seen clues you guys', and even if he hasn't it's beneficial for him to placate us with more film simply because the hybrids can be overbearing and put stress on both evan and jeff when constantly asking for footage. Uh, so wat I'm basically getting at here is that I don't think Vinnie is being particularly extremely vouyeristic, and although he is exhibiting some of those qualities, they might all have valid reasons. That being said it is an angle that they are obviously trying to work, so if it gets stronger, I suppose that they led into it nicely as it has quite a stable logical ground.
I think we've seen a lot f nice evolution within the characters, especially seeing Jeff actually talking about how he's trying to cope with Alex and his new responsibilities, and running off to get eh airhorn; he's back to confiding in the guys and actually trying to help (not that he was hindering before), which is in real direct contrast to when he was moping about his room for days on end (presumably, he seemed depressed), and especially from when he ran off without the guys at all and left them completely in the dark. Evan has had more character growth than I can really expound upon, but I'm interested in seeing how he feels about the hybrids now, when before he was very anti show us anythign , and kind of mad at us or at least aggravated.
I'm sortof super sad that none of the female roles have done anything remotely useful. I saw a comment on youtube about how all the girls have been killed or are pregnant, which is sadly true. I guess the statement could be fleshed out and validated a bit more, but 3 of the 4 are dead (all 3 being emotional links to one of the guys), with the 4th being pregnant, and while Steph has a connection to the miming town 4, noneof them have done anything actually useful, they've all just sort of 'been there', I guess. I dunno, it would just be nice to see a girl with a real opinion and a strong personality and some character growth. Steph is getting there I guess, since she's not so melancholy and wallowing and riddle-ey all the time now, but I'm not psyched with the baby thing it just makes her seem more like a girl and less like a character.
Also I hope they keep on with the artistic color pallate thing that I saw some of in the last video, because damn, the story of emh is so good, like,more artistry in filming would only make it better, plus i have a thing for colors when used effectively, it's just so awesome.
Has the newer clip of the body in the water been discussed at all?
Also why is there always purple ducttape on evan's stuff, i'm starting to doubt its significance if only because it's gone from a general creepy thing to an evan specific non creepy non clue related thing.
