I called the number on the poster and left a message after hearing a creepy but cool VM (You didn't contact us, we contacted you). I then called back a few days later and also got the PLECA message which was an easy task to put together PLECA. Since then I have tried to tune into Pirate Cat Radio from the internet however my Mac hates me. Has anyone had any success tuning in?

 Awesome

I can not explain how exciting these developments are... I've been paying more attention to street art, 'random' fliers, meetings/gatherings/protests/etc...

I expect there to be new dimensions to the experience this go around, so I am trying to keep an open mind for new connections.

Austin phone number

Just looking into this and wanting to keep up. Initial thoughts I'm sure all have had: 512 is an Austin, Texas, area code. The phone# is 10 characters: 5122215280 (central field?). Most FM pirate radio stations fall on the dial between 87.9 and 91.9

I had thought something similar - about the phone number being the central 10 characters for the website...

512 is a Texas area code, but it is for a cell phone so location may or may not have anything to do with it...

I've been listening to the radio station live - so far just a normal, pretty cool station... I'm guessing there will be certain broadcast(s) at certain times... not sure when those might be...yet...

How are you listening live? I tried from my Mac and the signal is digital decay.

I have tried several attempts to log in to the website with the following information. I am sure we are onto something but I am not certain this is the correct info.

The Latitude
www.thelatitude.com
5122215280

Pirate Cat Radio
KLPR
87.9
Started in 1996
By May 2010, some of Pirate Cat Radio's programming was being simulcast on licensed station KPDO 89.3

I have tried several different combos of the phone number for the middle and PCR call signs and station number for the sides but nothing is working yet. I haven't put my brain to it yet and figured out all the combos that it could be but this is what you could in theory test.

87.9
89.3
KLPR
KPDO
5122215280

Thoughts on this? Please send me a PM if you are interested in more info.

I was able to go to http://www.piratecatradio.com/ - and choose to listen live, via iTunes...

As far as the website, wasn't there also a website to log into for the Jejune Institute? I wonder what that log-in information was (based on) Perhaps we can learn something from that - or, now, it may simply be a pass code that will be shared at the appointed time - completely random numbers/letters...

I think the combinations you tried for the code are great, but honestly - it may be beyond figuring out systematically... (not that it hurts to keep trying...)

 More Information...

From an article...

"For Nonchalance's next venture, which is set to begin testing this month, Jeff hopes to build on what they learned with Jejune in terms of managing plot lines and narrative structure. Five areas of improvement include: player tracking, retainment, standings, points of sale, and traffic (in terms of bottlenecks in the game sequence). The Jejune Institute was almost entirely free, making it difficult to add a revenue model for the next version. Jeff believes that he has a monetization plan that feels supportive of the experience: "It's not an ask that takes away…The frame of mind we're going for is that this is a gift to yourself, much like paying for a gym membership or a massage."

Jeff's personal goal for the next project is to "take the engagement to a place where players will examine themselves and their lives, becoming the protagonist in their own personal journey." Jeff underestimated the transformative potential of Jejune on its players; he didn't anticipate how it could build a strong community or inspire profound social and self-reflection. In the next version, players can expect to take meaningful risks, not as observers of a narrative, but as the main character in their own hero's journey."

The hunt is on
Gathering

I called the 512-221-5280 number and got the pyramid message plus full error. Then I looked up the number. It is a Cingular PCS number in a suburb of Austin TX called Round Rock TX. I also called the number shown in an earlier post for service on the ATM 512-748-0476. That sticker was bigger than any such that I can remember seeing in the past. This number is linked to a Nextel phone and is a generic voicemail. This number does not hit on an internet search (so guessing not a real business number).

I also did some checking on thelatitude.com and found a clear link to Jujune by way of registrant name Everlee Tsay.

I also found a craigslist posting under marine services with a picture of a dolphin mentioning the 512-221-5280 number.

I will be listening to 87.9 FM from now on as I drive around Austin.

I also found this site by cross refferencing tags from instagram http://instagram.com/p/ouY07UxpC_/ containing the 512-221-5280 number.

Also some videos and pics with the number http://www.oninstagram.com/profile/oldmanski

Have found 3 Austin craigslist with the phone number, all pertaining to dolphins.

The original one from the facebook post: teleconfrence

Psychic dolphin telecommunication

Dolphin assisted childbirth

All listings include a map of Austin with The Contemporary Austin's Jones Center pinned. The Institute was screened there June 5th.

I was thinking this meant there might be an induction room there.

Now I think these Craigslist ads were just promoting the screening, as they were posted 14/15 days ago.

Yeah, I imagine the Institute screenings were used as a platform to generate interest in the upcoming project...

Hints to what is behind the Login page

Hi all,

Ok, nothing overly interesting here. I was bored and digging about and found a few images that point to what could be in sore behind the, ever familiar, login page.

List of files:

bookbg.png
marketplace-bg.png
badges-bg.png
book-sm-top.png
book-sm-bottom.png
book-sm-sliver.png
book-top.png

Looks like there will be a guest book type setup.

Also a "market place"?

Not overly interesting, granted; but I am in the UK so don't know how to get to the pirate radio stations etc and will probably never see any of the posters so its the best I can do.

I'll continue to monitor the website for any additional code added and or images etc.

Anyway, I'm away back to work now.

Take it easy guys (and gals).

This line is stuck in my head:

'In the next version, players can expect to take meaningful risks, not as observers of a narrative, but as the main character in their own hero's journey.'

There is so much we don't know, but this guerilla marketing with super-secrecy is definitely hitting my sweet spots... I am floating out tethers into every space I can think of, looking for something to hook on to. Surely providing my email/contact info to a billion nonchalant entities will yield me some sort of information...
