 		that was at the very tail end of the game. 95% of the experience went on without any sort of summary like they ended up making just before the seminar. Hell, we didn't even know they called it The Games of Nonchalance until toward the end. It was always just known as The Jejune Institute

the ability to communicate in other realities
Having been in search of explanations to my past experiences - it could be quite possible that the creators of this adventure understand that others may "know" things through those experiences to help them become part of the game.

have wondered how to truly test if someone has experienced other realities or if they are just really good at finding information. Maybe that is the key to this experience. Let yourself FEEL guided.

For instance. A friend took me to earth day in San Diego and when I crossed over the bridge to Balboa Park which I had never been before...I began running between thousands of people. My friends could not keep up with me. They asked me where I was going and I did not know until I arrived at the fountain as though I had been there many years ago. ..I am excited to discover others who may be connected. I am a novice and am searching for any signs. Forgive my fantasy I am not crazy and have a job and family... just honestly in search. The one site posted earlier in this thread from alterman47 was very well researched...remember in the institute he was asked about vivid dreams...I wonder how important that is?

There have been several mentions in articles and interviews, of the next Nonchalance project being on a COMPLETELY different level, in regards to scope and engagement.

I can't wait to see if this is virtual in nature...or physical/geographical...or...emotional(?) (or quite possibly a combination of these)

I know we have many members of this forum that are not located here in the Bay Area - I am hopeful that they will get to participate in greater depth than simply following along with others' journeys.

ALSO, don't forget that there is a theme embedded in the Latitude Society of Trust and Secrecy [again, this is based off interviews with Jeff]

Things may not be quite as simple and open as 'invitations for any to the Jejune Institute' - at least not to start...

My level of intrigue could not be higher - but as several people have noted - it's always good to mix in a bit of restraint, into our recipes of excitement, intuitiveness, problem-solving, and Satanic puzzlegrams.

LOL - indeed.

I look at it this way - I don't relate to the gym membership/massage analogy... but I have paid any number of monthly membership fees for World of Warcraft, Lootcrate, etc... and those were fine, to a point.

It's all about value.

Being somewhat imaginative, I can easily imagine myself being pulled into the Latitude Society - and finding enough value in the intrigue/story/interaction/etc to want to support 'whatever' is occurring.

In fact, I think setting up an infrastructure of funding like this, is wise, especially if the goal is to make this an ongoing, sustainable game/adventure...

I believe he actually asked about "lucid" dreaming (becoming aware that you are in a dream). I believe that it is quite important. One of the ways to become lucid is to always ask yourself if you are dreaming. Once you start doing it in dreams, you may be able to become lucid. The best test for me is to start flying...once I start flying, then I have confirmed that I am in a dream.

Now with games like this ARG, it will likely be important to frequently ask ourselves...is this part of the game, is this a clue?

Once we start paying more attention to reality in search of the game, we may start noticing things beyond the game (Octavio mentions something like this in the induction video).

For example: in college, I was suggested to read the Illuminatus Trilogy (like in The Institute, where fact and fiction are blurred so much it is hard to tell one from the other). Alone in the basement of the student union, I finish reading the part about how the numbers 17 and 23 pop up around us as cosmic clues and winks. I then walk down a hall to the bathroom and come across a single sign that simply says WOC x2317 (The WOC stands for Williams Outing Club)...

...last summer, I was wandering the streets of DC trying to concoct my own ARG, looking at the architecture in new ways. While I was actively doing this, I notice a couple taking a photo of their very own car license plate as it was parallel parked on the street. I asked them why they were doing that, and they said it was for some parking app (to pay for parking). I look at the tag, and it has the numbers 1723 on it, and it happens to be parked in front of a row house numbered 1723.

What is Lila? From Wikipedia:

From Sanskrit, it can be loosely translated as "play" (noun).

Lila is a way of describing all reality, including the cosmos, as the outcome of creative play by the divine absolute (Brahman).

The world is a mere spontaneous creation of Brahman. It is a Lila, or sport, of Brahman.

Lila indicates a spontaneous sportive activity of Brahman as distinguished from a self-conscious volitional effort. The concept of Lila signifies freedom as distinguished from necessity.

This creative activity of the Divine is called lila, the play of God, and the world is seen as the stage of the divine play.

The divine lila is a rhythmic, dynamic play. The dynamic force of the play is karma, important concept of Indian thought. Karma means "action". It is the active principle of the play, the total universe in action, where everything is dynamically connected with everything else.

lorem ipsum missing
Has anyone else noticed that the 'lorem ipsum ...' translated symbols that came up after a password reset on the website have gone missing? I know I saw them before after highlighting the invisible text, but seems like I can't highlight it anymore. Could just be my browser though?

At the end of the March 20th Designers + Geeks presentation Jeff Hull states that when the time is right you will be called upon. Then someone from the audience comes up and sits with the presenters on stage. "Ahh you've been called upon. Please join us." says Jeff.
