I found this site:
www.cypher-systems.com
It appears to be part of the game (WHOIS says it is at least...that, and the big "Acheron" in the products section, along with the acheron logo...)
there's an "imageready" image in the background (not sure if it's anything...i saved it and fiddled with it in adobe imageready 7.0 but i don't really know what i'm doing with that program). I don't even know if it has any importance. Just thought i'd share.

There's another new site that you can discover if you do a reverse whois thingy with the IP. However, there's currently no access to that new site, as far as i can tell. A big ol' password box comes up, but also asks for domain, and i don't wanna fart around with it.

yeah, i noticed that too, but i figured it was just set up that way so we couldn't screw with it until we were meant to, so i just ignored it and focused on the fun new one.

I think this is our spanking for doing the reverese look up on Coyote Dispatch. If it becomes active we will be told.

Matches, where is this ImageReady image in the background? I'm not seeing a background image. Will you clarify for me? I've got ImageReady at work and will play around with the file, but first I need to know where the file is!

Matches, since you have already done the whois, could you please add it to the reference section under the entry for Cypher Systems?
Thanks!

There's only one place i've found where you can save the background image and that's on the left hand side under the banner.
Like i said i'm not sure if it's anything, but hey, always worth a look right?

It might be worthwhile to note that their Acheron security system:
Quote:
Visually map out a network and its resources for ease of management, direct interaction with SQL/Oracle database servers to return traffic usage, firewall use, etc at the click of a mouse.
While three of their security alerts refer to vulnerabilities in Microsoft SQL server.

Matches, I found nothing. I opened it in ImageReady for $hit$ and giggles, but nothing was out of the ordinary. And how did you determine that it was an ImageReady file? It saved like a regular jpeg to me...
[Edit: Okay, I looked at the source and see where you got that from. I'm an idiot...]

Is there anyway to retrieve the file "cypher-master picture.psd" perhaps there is a hidden layer or something. I'm pretty good with photoshop (I'm a graphic designer).
I sent emails to the three addresses I found on the site.

I called the number listed on the Cypher-Systems page. The conversation went something like this:
Quote:
Them: Hello?
Me: Hello! Is this the number for Cypher-Systems?
Them: *pause* Hello?
Me: Hello! Is this the number for Cypher-Systems?
Them: Cyprus Systems?
Me: Cypher Systems.
(back and forth for a few seconds)
(series of clicks, sounding like the phone is disconecting and reconecting)
(Series of beeps, which sounded like the payphone 'quarter' tone to me)
Them: Hello? I can hear you much better now.
Me: Ok, Is this the number for Cypher-Systems?
Them: Systems? As in computer systems?
Me: Yes.
Them: No, sorry, you have the wrong number.
Me: Ok, thank you. *hangup*
All in all a very strange call.

Heh, yeah I called and hung up when they didn't answer "Cyber-Systems" or something (poor guy). I did a google search on the number and came up with a dead link to: "The Resume of Sully Lavalette." Prolly nuthin'
