NKryptor
Nice little puzzle by the makers of the ISIS

I've searched these forums (and the rest of the web!) but I really can't find much info about this nice little puzzle, other than a small discussion on the official Isis forums.

For those of you who don't know, the NKryptor is a small aluminium box with an engraved pharaoh on the lid, with red LEDs for eyes. Inside the box is a CD computer game. You have to open the box, play the game and get a certain number of points to get into the reward zone. It doesn't come with clues like the Isis, you're just left to figure it out for yourself. Doing certain things to it will make the eyes light up; apparently this is some indicator of your success...

Anyway, does anyone have one? I ordered one and it arrived today; very intriguing! If anyone has one, do you have any idea what to do? I can make the lights come on regularly, and I've mapped out a quite interesting pattern of magnets inside. Other than that I've just got about 1mm motion of the lid... not much, really!

Edit: here's a pic, managed to catch him with his eyes lit up Smile

So you haven't opened the box yet?

this link describes the pc game inside, if you're there and don't know what to do...

No, I only got my paws on it about an hour ago! It's unopened and will probably remain so for a while Smile

I understand the principles of the game, sounds like the sort of thing I'd spend hours on Razz

So, wait a minute.
Even the BOX is locked?
That sounds like a kick ass game.
Where can I get one?

You can buy them online from SonicWarp, same as the Isis. I think Gadgetshop and some others also sell them.

And yes, the box is quite firmly locked Smile It's quite frustrating, as I've no idea *what* I need to do! I've discovered quite a strong magnetic field around certain parts of the box, and there's an interesting little click sometimes when you tilt it... I can get the eyes to light up when doing certain things like shaking it three times then tilting backwards, though sometimes rotating it then pressing underneath will do it :-/

I got mine a few months ago and it took several weeks to open. There appears to be 2 ways to do it.

The game inside is good, although mine didn't work, so they had to email a copy to me anyway. I wouldn't say it was worth Ł45 though.

Done it
And i WILL help people if they ask nicely

But when I say help then thats what I will do. Also willing to help extra in exchange or ISIS help.

I opened the NKryptor in about 10 mins as it is similar to another puzzle I have already.

Now to sort the game out

P.S

How come the game says its only a trial version???
