Looks great so far, nice work Yanka and everyone else who contributed.
If I could offer one tiny initial observation - are we posting feedback here or by PM or what?
It might be an idea to include at the beginning, why the presence of the metacortechs site was so interesting. People not as into the matrix as some of us might need a reminder where they've seen that name before.
I remember showing the site to a friend (not pod-born) early on only to get the reply "So what's Metacortex?"
What about something like;
Quote:
... found out about the Metacortechs website...
New web sites appear all the time, some are interesting, others not so much. But to stumble across a web site representing a fictional company from one of my favourite films, now that's intruguing!
As any Matrix fan will tell you, Metacortex was the company which employed Thomas Anderson (Neo) in the first film - The Matrix.
While the web site could easily have belonged to a company which simply had the same name as the one in the film, there were several other parallels which suggested this was something more
For example, in the film, the company name is spelt two different ways "Metacortex" on the sign outside the building, and "Metacortechs" within the building. Here we have a website for the company "Metacortex" at the address "www.metacortechs.com"
Just a suggestion

Looks awesome. Marl, er, *cough*...I'll be sure to include something like that in the pre-Oct 1 bit. Um...yeah, very very sorry for the delay. It'll definitely be done...

Yanka, you're one away from 500, so make it a good one. In the meantime, I'll chill some bubbly...

oops... we missed that party. Let's find some other reason to drink virtual Cristal?
Anyway, I have a question: what is the font in "alternate reality gaming"
and where can I get it?
EDIT: I got it: it's called Calvin and Hobbes, in case anybody else cares - thanks, imbri

Hey all again,
Ugh and a half...
I feel bad that I never really got involved in the book idea... And now I've got an unusable domain (www.metaurchins.org) that refuses to be cancelled...
Anyway, yanka, I'd really like to see the progress on the book, but the above link doesn't work I'll e-mail you too, but I just wanted to come back and say hi to the forums again. I've been very busy with school and work lately, and I really haven't had time for anything else...
So... HI!

Hi!
It's nice to see (read?) you back. Just wondering, why is the domain unusable? I'm not quite getting that. Technical problems?
[edit] That's a pretty freaky 403 message . ...is that standard, or is something going on? My paranoid ARG-induced suspicions are sort of jumping around and squeaking at me.

Sorry for the messed up link - I was moving things around and changing file names . Anyway, the wip is now here . There is only one page there now, but I'll put page 2 up soon. You should be able to access the rest of the pages (when they become available) from page 1 or the following pages.
If you guys have any corrections (which there should be a lot of, given how much I suck as a writer ), comments, additions, etc., please PM me or post them here.
Oh, and can somebody plz come up with a better name than "project mu memoirs"?

Yes... It's a new ARG. I stegged a secret message in the image to the left of the 403... Have fun.
...
RIGHT. Yeah, the message is just a standard 1and1 hosting 403 error page. Really, I could care less if you repeated the request, it's not like I'm going to come after you or anything. The 403 just means there's nothing on there yet (at least anything public).
I'll probably work on getting parts of it up tonight.

Okay...
http://www.metaurchins.org
That's really all it'll be, with the forums and the progress on the book.
For people that are involved with the book: e-mail me (my address is on the site) or post your address on the forums so I can "invite" you to be able to post to the main page blog thing and so I can make you a moderator on the forum.
