Okay probably looking too deep on this one but here are few things that have stood out:

The Magician Card behind the Sun Card
The Sun card is about one's inner light and The Magician speaks for itself

http://youtu.be/2idHjkmzrwA - 1942 Feb 25 UFO fired upon

EDIT: http://youtu.be/aFPcvnxuLJI - Better version.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Building - New York City at Night The Chrysler Building is shown

Thought it might be height related, nothing yet though.

Tharol - how about contributing something useful for a change. Instead of stating the obvious, course we are stuck!

Post 5.doc

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Organization isn't all detectives and spies. There are a wide variety of roles that an Agent can take. There have to be, for there are only ever two Agents assigned to a single job on active duty. One of these will be the best at their job in the Organization. The other will be the deadliest. They're kept that way by a constant surge of younger Agents trying to knock them from their post.

For most roles, the difference between best and deadliest is fairly obvious. For some, it's more esoteric. I once had the pleasure of talking to the best assassin about this. I asked her what the difference between the best and deadliest could possibly be, since by definition the best must be pretty damn deadly. She smiled, so gentle and sad. I think I had a crush on her. She paused to collect her thoughts, and this is what she said;

"When I am hired, I leave no trace. I make death quick and painless unless ordered otherwise. I will wait months, years, just to make the perfect kill if I have to. That is why I am the best. But if a target makes it impossible to make the kill without exposing myself, I must sometimes let them go. A dead assassin is useless."

Then her countenance darkened. She shuddered, it's the closest I ever saw her to being afraid of anything.

"The deadliest will kill by any means necessary. It doesn't matter if it means they will be caught, or even killed. It doesn't matter if they have to cut through an entire army. If the deadliest is hired, they will kill. Even if it means cracking the earth in half, they will kill."

Her voice took on a slightly ominous tone, weary and venomously bitter.

"I will kill if it is possible. They will kill even if it isn't. That is what it means to be the deadliest assassin."

I never saw her after that day, but to my knowledge she is still operating as the best assassin. There have been several replacements to the deadliest. Those are just the ones that I know of.

Still, I never knew whether I wanted to be the best or deadliest. On prnciple I left myself open to both. I did know what role I wanted though. Of course, everyone wanted to be a detective. My Predecessor made it the most coveted role.

When my Predecessor first graduated, the behavioral conditioning methods in use by the Organization were still experimental. There were a lot more suicides, a lot more sad vegetables rotting away in madhouses. My Predecessor graduated as the best detective. The deadliest detective was a murderous sociopath. He cut a bloody swathe through Europe. My Predecessor's first official case was tracking the deadliest detective down, and terminating him.

He succeeded, and rather than letting a new potential madman take the place, my Predecessor proclaimed himself both the best and deadliest detective. He challenged the entire Organization to replace him. There were 30 assassination attempts the first night. He survived for ten years. I think he mostly did it to annoy us.

And then one day he just died. He was on a case, and not even the deadliest candidates will attempt an assassination when an Agent is on a case. Some idiot got the better of my Predecessor, right when He was the most likely candidate for replacement. I was the second most likely, but much His senior and judged just as worthy. The Organization demanded that I work with Him, or forfeit my position and enter retraining. All the while, the new Caretaker was speaking in that hollow tone, His strings barely invisible as they pulled him along.

I ran. I stole as much of the Organization's funds and equipment as I could and I left for Greece. The austerity protests and general discontent make enough chaos for a decent cover. It won't last.

What surprised me was how many Agents went with me when they found out. He was never exactly loved, His unusual ease of training often fostered resentment among the other trainees. But I didn't think they'd in turn see me as the opposite. I had to work to become what I am, I guess that was appreciated.

He has the Organization's official support, connections, and the vast majority of its assets. But I have its people. And now we stand, at stalemate.

New post on the blog.

Unfortunately the little program doesn't run on my Ubuntu-machine, neither on Wine nor on WinXP in a Virtualbox.

Can someone please post the password?

I'm not running and .exe file. Someone else wanna take the plunge?

Here's the instructions.txt anyway.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hey all, this is just something DD asked me to write while we were on the plane to our new location.
I didn't really have time to debug it thoroughly or anything, but it's a simple enough thing that it should be relatively fine. You guys (and ladies) find something, just post it to the blog and I'll try an' fix it.

For the sake of speed I had to use a couple calls from the Windows API for input and the like rather than building this for something more universal like with SDL-Opengl. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work on macs and linux with wine though.

Controls:

Arrow keys: Left, right, down: move block
Space Key: Rotate block clockwise
Shift Key (either): Rotate block counterclockwise

Once you get enough lines, the password will appear in a text file in the same folder as the .exe
the game will continue for a few lines after you get the password, it's a little bonus round to see if you
weren't just madly rushing to the end. Not that you'll need to really. This is nothing really special. The blocks don't speed up, there's no special algorithm like hateris or anything like that, it's just a pseudorandom number generator and some falling blocks, just like momma used to make. Only thing I made different from default tetris was I made the I block 3 blocks high instead of 4, because I like that arrangement better. Never did quite know why.

Oh and, when you get to my report, um.
I rambled a bit. It's kinda long, I'm not really used to writing for other people... or at all.
So you might wanna get a sandwich or something.
Sorry about that.

~Mysterious Mr. M

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
At first glance, it looks like M's mission was a failure. But there is still much in the way of useful information that can be gleaned from it. Who was it that said we learn more from our failures than our success? No matter, this is what I have figured out from M's report:

● He is growing much more active in His attempts to 'control' other people
○ He used to only 'control' one person at a time, and only very rarely
○ He is now attempting to spread this 'control' to the entire Organization
○ Possibly to Washington DC as well

Now, this leads to two possible conclusions; either His powers have grown somehow, or He has had this level of power for awhile and has simply been unable to exploit it until now. I find it unlikely that He has suddenly increased in strength however; there have been no appreciable events in His life recently that would trigger something like that. He hasn't even entered puberty yet. He never will, thanks to the Organization's hormonal treatments. Can't be those either, He's been getting those for most of His life. Besides, the increase in activity fits too neatly with Him gaining control of the Organization's most coveted role.

He's been waiting for this, possibly for His whole life. He's been planning this.

● Further revelations about the nature of His 'control'
○ He doesn't seem to have any sort of telepathic link to the people He 'controls'
○ He doesn't necessarily know who is and isn't 'controlled.'
○ 'Control' can be spread both by Him, and by those already 'controlled'
○ He doesn't need a few days to fully 'control' someone, but the results are easier to spot

The way M described Zodiac Zack while he was under 'control' doesn't quite match up with the people I've seen under His 'control' in the past. The people I've seen just seem subtly wrong and are mostly only spotted by the sudden shift in their opinions and alliances. Strange mutations to the victim's voice aren't a symptom I've noticed beyond just being a factor of the general wrongness. This leads me to believe that the couple of days that most victims seem to go missing isn't necessary, but rather serves as some sort of adjustment period, letting whatever method of control is being implemented adjust to the new body. Without that period, the victim is still controlled, but it's a lot more obvious.

The fact He doesn't know who is being controlled, and that He isn't the only source of it is possibly the most worrying revelation. It could mean that He is just another pawn, being controlled by something higher up. Or it could mean that the method of control is really more like a disease, spreading host to host. Whatever else, it means that I will need to take Him in alive, and interrogate Him. Not exactly a happy prospect. Of course, He could have just pretended not to notice that M was free as a way of leading me down just this primrose path. Disinformation is a very powerful weapon, after all.

My final deduction is somewhat more esoteric. He is still keeping the structure and operations of the Organization intact, despite having more or less completely subverted it. He still limits himself to participaion in its Missions. It could simply be that He doesn't want to draw the attention of the world's governments, but then why head to Washington? I think He still needs the Organization for some reason. He must need some piece of information, or he needs to take advantage of being within it somehow.

I'm not sure if that's comforting, or terrifying.
