 Film problems
Canon not working with the Ektachrome 100D

Hopefully someone can help me figure this out. I bought a Super 8 camera to start filming my (many) friends' weddings as a wedding gift for them. I successfully filmed the first one, then Kodak discontinued the 64T film. For the second wedding I used the 100D film and the film came back completely black. The instructions on the cartridge box say to leave the camera setting on [the lightbulb] so that the internal filter will be disabled. I did this, however, the cartridge itself is built to automatically trigger the filter mechanism to switch to [the daylight/sun] option as soon as you put it into the camera. I don't understand what is going on. I'm really frustrated.

At the second wedding, I went ahead and filmed even though the outdoor filter kept switching on and everything came back completely over exposed. I used the camera again at another wedding but am scared to have the film developed in case it was an error with the developer. Is anyone else having these problems?? I have one of the traditional old school Canon cameras. Nothing fancy. Thanks.

Hi, some cameras do not correctly expose kodak 100d, what is the model/make of your camera? Also kodak 100d sometimes jams up in the cartridge, could be one reason why your first 100d film came out black?
