"Mutation", "Mutagen" that actually looks like "Mutaigen", bio-hazard symbols. Anyone see anything else?

Ok I am really scratching my head now. I was on http://vip.byologyc.com earlier today. I completed the new task and received my points. I then came on this evening and I found another 25 points added to my account? I think it might be some of the interaction and emails I have been sending. We may not know the cause but we do see the effect.
As we see quite often in the ARG world, It is not the amount of interaction but getting or giving the game master what they want or need while still letting us be players in our rolls working through the game.
I agree thebruce went the extra mile with his video. I have been in his place before too and received the same results. What can we say, we are the players. We can only influence a game as much our master let us.
can you tell I have been playing ARGs a while Cool

Thanks all, but even though I made that video, I rarely do much live interaction with characters/people... the 25/50 point boosts recently for the most part are due to the twitter Q&A task - 25 points for retweeting @Byologyc's question and 25 for answering. But there may also be occasional boosts by TPTB. Who knows. I guess the result (as expected) is that the people who pay most attention, who interact and are involved more than anyone else are the ones rewarded the most Smile
I do hope to make it to each of their primary larger events though, so if anyone else is heading to them, we need to coordinate Smile

It turns out that if you go into your MyoLogyc page, there's a section called "Points" that breaks down where all your own points came from, and in what denomination. Also, from talking to Dahlia, those that shot up dramatically somehow got early access to the Advertising Persuasion task (500pts).

On a separate note, it feels kind of weird that I seem to be getting enveloped into the "lives" of the characters. I mean, I've been having girl-talk with Felicity and Olive! This is the first game I've been actively involved in, so I'm not sure if this is normal. But it sure is awesome/weird!

Welcome to ARGs Wink
This one is sort of rare in that it's half performance as well, localized to planned live events in Toronto but available online to all, so all the characters are actors, rather than PMs dishing out acting roles piecemeal but doing most story themselves. In short, these are real people who've become their characters for a period of time Smile It's an interesting dynamic, heh

So I've recently come across ARGs, and have been catching up with this. It looks pretty new so seems like a good chance to get in at the beginning of something. So far, looks interesting. Haven't done emails/talked to anyone yet, but I like .

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make any live events, being based in the UK. Videos are good though Wink

I received an e-mail from Dahlia. there were several talking points but only one that is relevant right now.
I ask her about the 20th anniversary party and what was the writing on the side walk out side because I can not see it in the video.

To answer your other question, I actually wasn't at the anniversary party either (was working on backend stuff for the VIP site) but I know someone there was sending out "you've been warned" on napkins and the like. Bad staffing choice - you never know what you're going to get from temp agencies. It's nothing serious, just someone who was a little nuts from what I heard.

This is news to me! did anybody else know about the napkins?

There were probably quite a lot of things going on there that were missed. I didn't catch the napkins, but that sounds familiar; maybe someone mentioned it in small-talk, not sure. But I wouldn't be surprised =)
I only heard of the bartender/Chet 'brawl' after it happened (happened just before the part with Chet and Olive outside). Love triangle and all that, probably Smile

First time in a looooong time. Last ARG was Aguatero (Loved it). This seems to be right up my alley so I'll definitely be getting involved! Excited to be back.

P.s. Eggz, you're really cruisin' on the points over at byologyc.com! Keep it up! haha

Thank you thank you Fieldy. Smile And welcome back to the fold.

No update on the points rewards yet, either the 1000 point perk (though I think most people have reached that by now), or the 2000 point one. I'll update here if anything changes on that front.

All of you able to attend NXNE (North by North East) from June 11 to 17, firstly, I WANT TO BE YOU. Secondly, you may have the opportunity to attend a talk about Transmedia and storytelling presented by ZED.TO.

But oh no, the talk is not being given by our lovely PMs, but Davian and Chet!
http://nxne.com/interactive/presentations/#49494

I already have too much travel lined up this year to be able to attend, but if any of you do, please take video and/or photos!

It's very tempting, very tempting... I may swing by Toronto on Saturday if the interactive portion is free, and stop in to see what's all up with Byologyc getting all meta on our collective heinies Razz
