If this date is important, maybe that's why they had to drop so many hints yesterday to get us to solve the passwords so that we could move onto this puzzle on the correct date?

 		When it says "earns patent 9,158,239" or whatever, I take that to mean that it is Weyland's 9,158,239th patent an not a patent number itself, as they wouldn't have commas in them.

Pah! I say just let them drip their 'clues' from their twitter feed and keep these boards clean from their awfully novice attempts at this.

I hope the film doesn't suffer from this type of ineptitude.

Remember...It doesnt say US patent...

This could be anything since the patents are different in the UK (assuming Weyland is UK) than the US.

 		it appears that the advanced polyurethane compound dated today + the weyland fingerprint (coming soon on the web site and also on the email) & david 8 video may be converging to something else down this path.

I've a feeling they're scrambling behind the scenes to make this thing work, and not doing a very good job of it.

I believe also Have you discovered the rich history of Weyland Industries? (@UK_Prometheus) has something to do with it.
