Just started getting into this today...
I can't quite tell if the blinking blue light on the left in the background has the same pattern as the star in the About Us picture...
Any thoughts?
(Sorry if this has already been resolved)

Also, the timeline is missing the Archeron LV-426 entry (from here: http://io9.com/5894231/see-the-timeline-of-weyland-industries-and-witness-the-birth-of-android )

Okay someone said on Twitter the Yutani entry has disappeared from timeline...can anyone confirm?
And just a FYI,.I'm ignoring the UK tweets for.now, @prometheusmovie is the only reliable account for now (unless they make a separate one for the viral eg @weylandindustries or something)

i replied earlier to the person on twitter. i checked it on two different browsers and still got the yutani listing in the timeline. i also see the acheron on may 14, 2039. (the morse code on the about page is already solved.)

it just takes awhile to scroll all the way down the timeline page perhaps because of the video background and other stuff is taking their time to load. the page doesn't load all at once; you have to keep scrolling down for another chunk to go through.

maybe the web server's load could be high(busy) that it's serving up pages rather slowly -either from many requests or even from the backend.

if only we could check the background processes because they could be working on something from the dev end or the server might need to be rebooted. or, it's a shared web server serving up other websites that are affecting server performance. high traffic 'net congestion. or, it could be on a nightly backup routine. any number of reasons.

the uk prometheus is a twitter-verified account and did clue us in to wait for the uk version of the trailer. it's possible that several people involved with the movie's promotion are using it, resulting in a mixture of posts. but i agree that it's best to remain skeptical & think critically along the way with the uk one.

after re-reading your post, sorry i misunderstood. someone somewhere else was asking about the old morse gif(which was already solved awhile ago) and then i read your post again.

the flashing blue light in the video background of the timeline does appear to be something new, unsolved or being investigated by others. i know that the background video has been gradually different. i haven't looked into the spheres recently but someone might be better able to compare notes better. but to me the blue flashing in the sphere video is more prominent.

this is also strange:
after deleting cache on google chrome browser and on safari again, an hour later, i see acheron still listed on safari but not on chrome now. yutani is still listed on both browsers.

since weylandindustries.com seems to be running on amazon's elastic cloud 2 servers, the update changes may still be taking effect or a new source code update is affecting browsers differently. i haven't had the time or chance to look into the source code behaviour to verify this theory. a closer inspection would be needed to verify this. and, meanwhile, things could still keep changing.

No it's still there. I think it's because of a layout glitch - I have done a few reloads and sometimes the segments of the timeline run together and overlap each other.

EDIT: just did a reload on the timeline and got a bunch of segments running on top of each other, and the Yutani litigation segment is missing. Definitely a bug IMO.

Same here - if you reload and scroll quick it seems to mess up the layout, at least on my machine. Could be that the person reporting missing segments did the same thing... just saying.

Yes, I did it, seems the code has bugs, not very noticeable of course...

The blue light has been there awhile, I thought it was surmised that it was part of the "glitch" effect in After Effects? I don't think anyone's tried to look at it in morse code.

timeline errata

One can only hope that they eventually get around to correcting this glaring error:Nobel Peace Prize

Sir Peter Weyland is awarded the Nobel Peace prize in Medicine for his cancer cure.

February 4, 2023 It should be Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Don't forget this one: Nobel Peace Prize

Sir Peter Weyland is honored with the Nobel Peace prize in Science for his extraordinary atmospheric work over the polar ice cap. Correct would be Nobel Prize in Science

They also removed the names of existing companies such as Genentech, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin a few days ago. Definitely a work in progress.

nice observation. after reading that, i decided to to a quick comparative analysis just now comparing the timeline in the wiki here:
http://bigthingshavesmallbeginnings.wikispaces.com/Weyland+Industries+Corporate+Timeline

to the current timeline:
https://www.weylandindustries.com/#/timeline

the ones at the top are from the current timeline and the ones at the bottom with the parenthesis to indicate what vertical they fall in are from the wiki.

... and, they still didn't change the misspelling of 'aquire' with a 'c'.

That's what I did when the LV-426 entry went missing

I don't know that correcting spellings and taking out names of real companies that they probably did not have permission to use is going to help us puzzle- wise.

Anyone thought why there is a grid in the timeline/investor background? I had idea that counting the distance that objects moved during a cycle along the grid might give us more numbers- but then what to do with them?

Has been mentioned that the small dark objects seem to make up the star pattern again? Also, they don't move relative to each other like the white spheres do.

Several times whilst checking Page source and selection source for the Corperate Time Line i noticed entire sections of posts dupliated in the coding. when refreshing the page I have had posts appear out of sequence, hidden behind each other, flowing off the end of the page without scroll ability...fun when looking for clues apparently hidden into a site.

One thing that concerns me is for a company with millions of employee's dedicated to advancing the company and producing 3.5 patents a day not to mention the army of near perfect replicants with, and i speculate; something approaching an eidetic memory with a far superior understanding of learning and retrieval than the average human they have let a potato with learning difficulties attempt to create its internet face.

we still seem to be having problems with basic web development and browser failure.

so in the near future FTL travel may appear less complex than web development...

i think the ball has been somewhat dropped and burried in some vacuous area of the designers mind. i apologise for if this seems out of order but this is no longer enjoyable or endurable.
