The video is in very low quality, I can't get proper shot. I did it the other day, but I was hoping this one wasn't as blurry.
I cropped the barcode and tilted it 90º counter-clockwise.

@SneakyMoustache: Could we assume David 8 is the "current" version, and therefore it's in 2073? Edit: Meaning, 2068 - 2073 = 5 years.

Also the attachment disappeared for some reason.

@AVITWeb: No, that's Alien, Prometheus happens a few years earlier.

nice grab - I wonder if the three orange dots on the circular lock mean anything?

I do find it weird that of all the trailers they have released in the past week, that the David 8 one is not in HD. It is hard to find clues, unless they are blatant with standard 360.

In the Ridley Scott interview on the 17th, he said the film takes place in the late 80s early 90s. Of course the actual Project Prometheus could've started before then.

The first mention of Project Prometheus is in 2017.

WEYLAND REVIVES JIMO
Using capital from his 2015 success, Weyland acquires copyrights to technology developed by NASA's innovative but poorly funded Project Prometheus. With Weyland's significantly augmented funding for the project, JIMO became a reality and proves the existence of simple life in Europa's ocean.

This could be way off base I just found it interesting. The picture of Pleiades on the facebook page said "its closer than you think" , and it made me think of the Pleiades Supercomputer at NASA that happens to be the 7th ranked supercomputer. http://www.nas.nasa.gov/hecc/resources/pleiades.html

Weyland acquired the rights to the project when he bought it from NASA in 2017

Ask them?

The tweet was posted 12:47pm 19th March. Just reposting what they tweeted.

I am starting to feel like just giving up... I can't believe we haven't gotten any new hints for this. Makes me worry it's not even live yet...

The thing is, they've been updating their twitter accounts and constantly hinting at the same things (the David 8 video, "it's closer than you think", #areyouseeingthis), over the span of 2 days. They know what they're doing.

Thing is, we don't.

I think the facebook page left a clue since their timeline banner has been changed into the Orrery with in the lower right corner similar symbols as on the projectprometheus login page. Upon closer inspection you can see they are different from eachother. It probably has been mentioned before but I'm sure it's connected...

I don't think anything we've done is on the right track. How could learning about mythology and astronomy lead us to a password? Are we really just going to have to try millions of words that might be related as the password? It has to be more concrete than that, like the Morse code puzzle. We will see something that will make us say, "That is a password."

We don't need hints - just better guys to design the clues.

There's red herrings and then there's the entire catalogue of human history.

Something from 2004 about Weyland's patent from when he was 14 would have been reasonable enough if only for filler.

I think that the password has to be something personal and important to Peter Weyland. It's his pet project, and he comes across as a bit of an egomaniac.
