I'd agree that's too big to be a mistake and I too like the idea of the "bad robot". I'd guess that's got more to do with the plot of the film that the plot of this ARG.

hehe Bad Robot - isnt that Damons company

Hi everyone

Been lurking on the forum (did during LOST as well) and decided to register and join in this time. Had some twitter banter and funnily i even tweeted the eridu password to some people but like all of us i used capitals.

Anyway

My thoughts on the discrepancies between web / jpg

The main difference is Yttrium.
According to wikipedia - its mostly found by red stars - one such is Mira in the constellation Cetus. Other red stars so far are gliese 581 around which Gliese 581c orbits and also Gliese581 e (2 pictures on the corporate timeline)

Gliese 208 or hd245409 is an orange star

Not sure if it helps

I was having a look at the star map at the top of the investor information page.

If you ignore the individual stars and trace the outlines of the joined up areas, it reminds me of a nebula pattern.

I've tried several nebula names as the url and none have worked so far.

Antares
Butterfly
Crab
Eagle
Helix
Horsehead
Hourglass
Keyhole
M45
Orion
Pleiades
Trifid
Veil

I'm sure some of those have been tried before, but can't hurt to try again.

Weird, I can't post a reply using the "post reply" link. That takes me to the main forum page. Any of you experience the same?
The only way I can post is via the "quote" button.

Yes I'm trying words and numbers as the end part of the URL, I'm assuming for the moment that this is what we are looking for.

One thing I keep thinking of is the "big things / small beginnings" hint.

I wonder if this is sly message to people contributing to the ARG? I know some people have been disappointed with the results so far; maybe this is a subtle way of saying that the 'rewards' will increase as the game goes on?

Or am i being slightly too optimistic?!?

Hopefully you are right, there is a while to go before the film is released Smile

Assuming that by now all of the errors in the resources table have been corrected, there are a few things that stand out in regards to the numbers assigned to each. The five 'fictional' resources can possibly be attributed to the authors assigning arbitrary numbers to them, as can the 'general' resources such as GAS, OIL, WATER and RARE EARTHS. The bits that stand out to me are GRAPHITE and TITANIUM.

Firstly, GRAPHITE is not an element but a compound made almost entirely of carbon, therefore it has no 'true' atomic number. If you had to assign an atomic number to GRAPHITE that number would be the atomic number of carbon which is 6. COAL is very much the same thing - a compound made almost entirely of carbon. In the Weyland table COAL is correctly assigned the number 6, but GRAPHITE is given the number 147. (Which is the same number given to the fictional element ADAMANTINE. PSshuh?)

Secondly, TITANIUM is an element but its assigned atomic number is completely wrong. It is assigned the number 45, but it should be 22. (45 is atomic number of Rhodium, which is in the table and correct.)

28 of the 37 resources are real world but only 26 of them have correct atomic numbers.

Question

I think I remember somewhere someone posted a link to an unobscured loop of the orbs moving around? im curious to see if theres any difference to the loop currently in the background.
It came from the source but unfortunately the current link to the video on the Information page is the same as the one posted earlier:

https://www.weylandindustries.com/vid/wc_spheres.ogv
I think it's old ground but what's been said about the "line" in the middle on the far left of the spheres video? There's a pulsing that can be seen if your screen is angled correctly and it's briefly amplified when the video loops.
