This is the time of year when we're supposed to be looking at our lives and coming up with reasons to be thankful. I've tried, I really have, but keep coming up short. My mother died a few months ago and my father is sounding more and more vague on the telephone, like he's simply fading away. My husband is out from jail on a million dollar bond. He's distracted and irritable and even though he's not spending long hours at work anymore, it never seems like he and I spend any quality time together. I'm supposed to be decorating the house with Christmas scenes, baking gingerbread, dreaming about the day when we will have a pack of children to wake us up on Christmas morning with their excited laughter. I don't mean to whine, really I don't. I'm just... lost right now. I'm pregnant, you see.

 		Hi all! I've emailed Meg about this blog note and she answered. It's a personal mail, most probably I'll not put everything here, but just the most important parts. If anyone wants to ask something from Meg, just contact me and I'll try to ask it (Put it into context, etc, I'll not guarantee anything).
It's not a group contact method so if many of you contact her, then it's possible that you scare her, I suppose.
Current informations:
Jake and Meg spends the christmas with their parents, Turgenev and Kat.

 		I must echo Onyx's sentiment...I've seen it done both ways, and it is usually best to have one or two "contacts" with in-game characters instead of everyone "blitzkrieg-ing" them with e-mail.

I'm not stating how I think anyone should play this game, only that I've witnessed both methods and have my own personal bias as to what works.

With that said, Onyx, if you could post the messages you receive (edited to your discretion) it will help keep everyone in the loop.

Interesting side note...did we know that Turgenev and Kat were the parents of Jake or Meg?!

**Edit: Sorry, now I understand. Jake and Meg plan on spending X-mas with their parents and Turgenev and Kat (Turgenev's daughter?).

Jake's Boss is Professor Zeladzney (Turgenev) and Boss's niece is Kat, who is dating Craig Becker.

 		What does Kat see in Craig?
Hi. I missed the gossip about Kat and Craig. I didn't know they were dating. Funny, given the insistence that her uncle had on her accompanying him, I assumed that the role of "niece" was just a cover and she was his young, ummm, girlfriend.

Craig is not thought of highly by people that we at least have been led to trust. A "boyscout" when used in a degrogatory manner usually means a naive person who overreacts to things without much thought. As such, he is probably easy to manipulate by anyone, including Kat.

I think she is using him but who knows for what purposes?

The gossip came from the Professor's logs that were acccessed from the Research Login. Since there was no gossip about Professor Z's niece, other than Jake saying give her a hug, and Caretaker saying that she was the professor's niece (I don't think Caretaker would use euphimisms to hide the real relationship, no reason to do so), I accepted that at face value.

I always thought of "boyscout" meaning he follows the rules to the letter, follows his superiors without question, and not able to bend them to support what was "morally/ethically" right, and damn the laws.

It is possible that Becker does think Jake innocent, and hated to arrest Jake, but because Becker's Superiors (i.e. Federal Agents) wanted Jake arrested, Jake was arrested. Somehow I can't see a boyscout letting his deputies do shoddy work on the warrant, but maybe he let it slide on purpose to give Jake the loophole he needed.

Then again, it could be that Becker is enjoying having control of the additional military personnel, they have more drills scheduled for the Winter Break. So we could have Becker the power hungry, looking to sink his teeth in deeper.

We will have to wait and see how it pans out. I'm looking forward to this little sub plot. Wink
