For me, the way the series could go really left of field would be to have Alex kill both Jay and Tim when they go to visit the lodge and rest of the series focus on Alex sacraficing new victims to The Operator and narrating his reasons for doing so to the audience, while being pursued by a very angry Hoody (with totheark channel descending into angry threats and forboding) , with Alex explaining over time what went down during the filming and Hoody's overall identity.

Perhaps even have Sarah or Seth turn up, show Alex slowly gaining trust and then sacraficing them again?

Oh, and the weirdiest thing happened: apparently Korra IS actually on DVD here! Except, no-one put the 'Avatar' on the DVD title Sad

(Which is a lot of whaaat?)

I've ordered in the trade paperbacks of the comics as well. (More Zuko! More Aang! More Suki!) Although, is there a significant break between the mini-series and when the regular series started and when the first season of Korra aired? Inevitably, they are both going to tie-in to each other (and I know that the mini-series before the regular series has a huge link to Korra) and I don't want to get too far ahead in the comics and spoil Korra for myself.

I know you guys are joking, but torrents just aren't my thing Sad

Can't see Sarah turning up considering how many appearances she's made (Entry #9 and MH trailer).

I took Sarah's apperance in the trailer to be a sign that, despite the season one commentary informing us that they had difficulties getting a hold of her for more filming in season one due to moving away, she could well and truly appear in more entries and that Troseph were keeping mum about it. But, have they made any annoucements about her involvement?

Does anyone find Night Vale a bit overrated? I tried listening to it and to be honest, it's so self-conciously weird that it just kills it for me and the omnious music doesn't really mesh well with the radio annoucer's narration. I know Adam Rosner (of Tribe Twelve fame) is a huge fan, but it just didn't click for me.

Yeah, that was a good show. But the screaming episode was weird.

Joking about what? And what do you mean torrents "aren't your thing"? That's how grownups pirate things, what's wrong with you? Can't leave your computer on and running while you're away to score a big download? Torrents are just free shit dude. Tell your parents/guardians its important to you to leave your comp on every once in a while and you can probably sneak a couple downloads past them. Rolling Eyes

Just that my knowledge of how they handle their shows is extremely dated. I've long since quit giving that network the time of day.

I've not heard of that show. Any good?

you got me. i was only 5 when it aired. even if it is good, there are still way better shows to spend your time on. and i will always suggest the wire, or pretty much any other critically acclaimed hbo show (sopranos, sfu, game of thrones) over a sitcom

Dude! That was made by the same dude who wrote such riveting dialogue as this...

...which got a well deserved beating in South Park many years later.

I never saw Avatar because I saw Disney's Pocahontas when I was a small child so I see no reason to watch the updated version with blue people.

Candle Cove was awesome! The first season finale is one of the best episodes of any television show I've ever seen! Never was sure what was the deal with the screaming episode, though. Broadcast musta screwed up or something.

Damn shame they never released that on DVD and don't do reruns anymore. The lack of any real record of the show makes it almost like it never existed.

Korra has never carried the "Avatar" in the title, due to copyright issues with the movie with the blue people (which I don't understand, because Avatar: The Last Airbender long predates Avatar: The Alien Pocahantas.)

A long time passes between ATLA and Korra. Although the comics do tie in in some ways, and there are a reasonable number of references to the original series in Korra, you're not at any risk- neither series really significantly spoils the other. I suppose it's entirely possible to watch Korra without seeing ATLA (not that you should), although I'm not entirely sure how clear some of the mythology would be if you did so.

...And, rereading your post, I'm confused now. What mini-series are you referring to? There are three main parts of Avatar right now:

1. The original series- Avatar the Last Airbender.

2. The follow-up comics, Avatar: The Promise and Avatar: The Search, neither of which is an essential read to watch Korra, nor do they spoil any elements of Korra. There's no real risk of getting "too far ahead" with anything here.

3. The Legend of Korra, the new ongoing TV series, currently in its second season.

@Sha Noran: Piracy is illegal in the United States and will not be tolerated here. Do not advocate it on this forum, let alone shame another user for refusing to do it.
