Why do people do that? Just don't post. I made that mistake once when I first signed up, and felt bad about it when I realized it actually said in the guidelines not to do that.

And I didn't even click the link in this one; I could tell it was fake just from who posted it.

Why was the troll thread merged into the Shame Thread instead of just deleted? Every post in it was from one of the troll accounts- look at their profiles. I mean why make such a big deal about how you can't delete it once a non-troll responds if you're not going to delete it anyway when it was handled correctly for a change?

^ This. I know it's Unfiction policy, but I don't get why this "every thread with replies can't be deleted" rule can have an exception for troll thread.

Besides which they've hammered it into our head so many times that they *can* delete it if all the posts were troll duplicate accounts, yet that was the exact case here and I see no deletion. If it's going to be merged into the Shame Thread regardless of whether or not we post then why freak out so much when we reply to the troll threads?

(Not that I'm condoning feeding the trolls either, mind you, this just seems silly.)

This whole 'the thread can't be deleted if someone replies' is one of the stupidest rules I have ever seen in a forum, and I have yet to see any logic behind it.
