I think references and comparisons to certain parts of the bible are reasonable to an extent, but they've never directly referenced a bible verse so I don't think they would now.

I know I've said this before: but, please, please, watch Hannibal. It's a great show, very, very scary and plenty of details to mull over, which makes it perfect for the Marble Hornets audience.

You really don't want Hannibal to get cancelled do you. I wish I could say the same for some of the shows that I watch. And honestly Hannibal is not that good.

LIES!!!!! Smile

Hang on, you want the shows you watch cancelled? What are you, some sort of masochist? Smile Young Justice was my first real taste of having a show cancelled (I'd watched Firefly years before, but knew it was going cancelled), so very determined not to have it happen to my new baby.

Man, Young Justice was great. It's biggest problem was that it was too plot based and not really something you can jump into. This was cool for me, but is usually seen as a huge problem by executives who want to be able hook people from any episode they air.

That wasn't even why it was cancelled, either and ratings were incredibly good, apparently - I don't think the concept itself was that too much of a hard sell for kids either: bunch of super heroes, including Superman's clone and Robin and an evil conspisarcy which threatens the galaxy! (Or in the case of the second season: aliens on Earth hiding behind a facade)

The reason it was cancelled, sadly, was because the toy-line was a huge part in the show's budget (that animation! Gorgeous!) and the toys just didn't sell that well, hence cancellation. But, I am kind of glad that Weisman and co. did wind up some things and basically said to fans in the know that they would have devoted more time to particular plot threads (Mg'nn's actions, Nightwing's questionable behaviour during season two), but basically said: this how we'll wrap up for you now, but these actions would have consequences in a third season, and yet I presume the cliffhanger was put in place to say to comic book fans: you know how the tale of Darkseid would go, if we come back, we do our own take on it, but you have a sembalance of how that story went.

But Wally's death hurt. A lot - and I hate how it messed up Artemis up so badly. ARTEMIS FUCKING DESERVED TO BE HAPPY. She finally had the sense of normalcy and general NOT FUCKED UP in her life, and, no, Wally's gone.

Superboy and Miss Martian, I didn't see a future for them, really. We finally got to see Superboy have more of a life outside The Team and he's not the same person he was when they were a couple. Of course, what that means for Beast Boy, who knows? Miss Martian....I don't get the fan hate for her character, I'm not taking away from the horror of what she did, but this is someone who comes from a very fucked up place. I don't think The Green Martians just said nasty shit about The White Martians (from episode three of the first series, she's very good at hiding herself and others, so I'm guessing she and her family were subject to violent attacks) and she came to Earth and found a life which was so much better, then her Foster Mother dies, she has to become Gareth's Mother, I'm guessing Tula was a good friend to her - it does make sense she uses increasingly brutal methods to protect those closest to her and save her adopted planet.

(And I'm pretty sure if Superboy had more of a life outside The Team, he wouldn't have forgiven Mg'nn ever for what she tried to do to him)

Nightwing, defiently, was heading for a huge fall, one which I think would have seen The Team, as it stood, dismantled for awhile. Dick's actions were a whole lot of NOT OKAY during the second season, hell, dismissing any trauma Garfield might have experienced as 'learning pains' when he was captured is fucked up as hell. Season one defiently saw that Dick was so traumitised by his parents murder and Bruce's decision for Dick to deal with it by becoming Robin, that Dick has lost touch with normal human behaviour - and I'm guessing Dick doing something really messed up, would have been the catyclst for Tim and the younger cast members development.

Kaldur, I'm guessing, has a whole bunch of PTSD he's going to have to deal with. He would have seen horrible things with his time with Black Manta and I don't think that's going to go away or his guilt about the Krollotains. He'd be very damaged and it'd be very intresting to see how they would come into play with Alantis being a kind of (albiet monarchical) utopia. (Plus, can we finally see Kaldur's Mother? And his Stepdad? Initally, from the episodes themselves, I got the vibe that the kids were kind of wards of the state and Mera was a Mother-figure to them all, but the tie-in comics have Kaldur refer to his Mother and the man he believes to be his biological Father, so I'm guessing Mera is kind of a loving Aunty figure in these kids lives) I kind of hope that he does get a new love intrest at some point, because someone breaking down those dignified walls of his, cliche as it would be, would be fun. (Plus, if there was a third season, I want to see him back in action and more Kaldur-specific stories)

I'm really excited for Star Wars: Rebels because Weisman will be involved in it (although I did find from the scant episodes I've seen of Clone Wars, that Clone Wars came off as a bit more calculated in it's storytelling then I would have liked), but dear God, I wanted another season of Young Justice badly and only found out about it's cancellation before the last two episodes of season two were aired here in Oz.

I have a theory!

The Operator has no eyes. So his basic motive is that he notices humans have brains with visual cortexes, and tries to hack into them so he can see out of them. He doesn't realize they're people, just these things with eyebrain thingies he's using.

Totally explains why people go crazy around him, cause he's fucking with your head. Masky is just the Operator having totally taken that part of you over, leaving your weird human instincts to tackle shit left over. And then you're really suggestible too so Hoody uses Masky for his own shit.

But then there's another aspect; the Operator can see through cameras, but they're much simpler and thus more compatible to see through. This is why Jay's camera broke in Entry #23; he had hacked into the camera so much it broke it. That also explains all the visual and audio distortion, that's the camera slowly breaking.

Look at totheark's "Warning". The words say "EYES OPEN" and then "Smile for the camera". Then in Entry #26, when Amy points the camera at Alex the Operator appears; the camera clearly has distorted footage on it before that as well (The Skully stuff and other clips) so the Operator can see Alex out of it.

Stealing a theory from someone else in another thread, maybe that's also why Tim Operator-relapsed when Marble Hornets started back up; he had a camera in his face. Perhaps the same used to film Alex's 7th Birthday, and thus one previously distorted by the Operator?

This also, most of all, explains why he's called the Operator. He's operating all the cameras Surprised

Then he would've tried harder to keep Jay protected because that guy had a serious camera fetish... And you're implying that Alex is basically a good guy trying to resist TO and that most footage we see is from the perspective of proxies who are so mindraped that they have no idea what's going on. That's actually a rather fascinating suggestion, if it was intentional.

Also, Jordan, you are like a mega superfan of anything you get into, and I respect that. Go hard or go home; I enjoy overthinking the motives and thoughts of characters in shows I follow, because as a writer myself I feel those motives and thoughts should be relevant and realistic.

I'm buying a laptop for my mom. She quit smoking cold turkey back in Nov., but she's still having cravings something fierce (well, it wasn't that she quit, so much as she had a stroke and didn't get the chance to smoke again while in the nursing home, but I digress). The laptop is so she'll have something else to occupy her mind, and maybe find a support group. I just had a completely evil idea: she needs a distraction? I'm going to link her to TV Tropes. That should do it Twisted Evil .

If you've been a fan of the various DC animated series over on Cartoon Network, prepare to be very, very disappointed.

Apparently, Cartoon Network are to phase out most of their drama-based shows in favour of more comedy shows, as according to Cartoon Network, that is where most of the intrest now lies. This suprises me, quite a bit, to be honest: Young Justice had very, very good ratings and was only cancelled because the toy line did not sell well enough, the network did very well out of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and I don't think kids tune in for Adventure Time just for the jokes - and on a personal note, I often found the various DC Comics animated series to outstrip prime time television quite easily.

Personally, I think this is a huge mistake and not just because I'm worried that that the network won't be fostering the next generation of super hero nerds, drama is a good way is a good mirror for kids to learn about life, after all.
