Good to see that they're finally bouncing back from that Cloverfield incident.

Dude if you're going to make jokes like that just go somewhere else, some people are still grieving.

I would never make light of the Cloverfield incident.

I'd like to offer my apologies for my earlier post - I thought Genueax was refering to the Calfornia shooting of recent times (in my defence, I had just unfortunetly encountered some rather nasty Tumblr posts on the subject from MRA friend zoned douche bags who felt sorry for him), despite him clearly stating New York. It was a nice antedote to bump up the thread if it is what I think it's refering to ("People live in New York. This is a thing which is.")

I thought someone was reading some 9-11 stuff into that one comment. (where did that quote about "dozens" of NY'ers come from, anyway? It's from The Simpsons, right?) I was then thinking of making some sort of Boston Marathon Bombing comment (not a joke--I'm a proud Bostonian), but then I had no idea whether the post would be appropriate or not. Then I'd thought, well, a "Cloverfield" post would still make sense, especially as people were reading 9-11 commentary into it. Then I'd thought everything was looking blurrier than usual and that my head was starting to feel as if it was getting ready both to explode and to cave in.

Fuck, I'm out of coffee. Time for a walk.

Coffee makes everything feel better and helps you forget all past behavior that you find remotely troubling.

I've never liked it, personally. Don't drink, either - I'm a lot of fun Smile I do have sweet tooth, though Smile

The cafe cubano from here would make you change your mind: http://boston.menupages.com/restaurants/el-oriental-de-cuba/. It's the best ever, and it's just sweet enough. A bit too far for me to walk right now, though, sadly.

Um... for the record, I was not making a joke about or referring to any actual tragedies. I was *just* talking about the movie Cloverfield, and I assume the "Literally dozens of people live in New York city" comment was just a random, humorous, strangely worded fact that had no deeper meaning to it, like that Onion article that explained in great detail how it turned out Swamp Thing and Swamp Thing 2 were actually two of literally thousands of movies in existence.

The cubano here is also quite exquisite: http://www.bardcoffee.com.

Which is why I asked what the fuck had happened to the thread above. I got your reference and thought it was a decent joke. Then all this other stuff. I don't know. Anything more than that I'm still out of coffee.

I think that "dozens of people" statement is an actual quote from a movie or a TV show. I just don't remember where.

Yeah man, I actually hadn't realized you were referring to me that first time around until you apologized. No hard feelings whatsoever, I just wanted to make sure I cleared up any ambiguity that might be lingering.

GUYS. MY BAD.

I should jumped back on earlier. When I told Geneaux that people were still grieving I was making a joke, as if the Cloverfield incident was an actual tragedy. I wasn't being serious, this was my bad, no one else's.

And I say we should all forget that the last few posts have ever happened and go get some nice cafe cubanos.
