Permanent Nirvana, does that mean Kurt Cobain is immortal? Where can I find this alternate dimension?

Yes, yes it is. You should work on correcting that.

Just watch the movie. You can find copies of Star Trek Generations on bus seats.

He was also the villian in Tank Girl. And he played Merlin in this weird kids movie that I think was called Knights of the round.

Malcolm McDowell is fucking awesome. >XD

Oh, wow, the spambots are now trying to get Unfiction to break federal and international laws. I have always wanted a fake Finnish passport...

There was a thread posted for fake visas/passports/documents, but Zarggg already zapped it. Smile

Thanks, Z!

tldr: hours spent analyzing an old TTA video, nothing of interest is found.

The Deluge video features two diagonal lines \\ blinking in an irregular pattern. It has been suggested [by whom?] that this is either Morse code or binary of some sort. As far as I know, the pattern has not yet been deciphered, if it can be deciphered at all.

The next picture shows the luminosity of each individual frame as a function of time:

(the first graph corresponds to the first 7 or so seconds of the video, and the second - to the last 7 seconds. The values of luminosity do not seem to match, because I suck. They should.)

While the on/off pattern is clearly present, I can see nothing there resembling the Morse code, or binary for that matter. Maybe you are more observant than me.

What is slightly interesting - and I didn't know that before - is that the pattern is symmetrical, like a palindrome of sorts. It is especially easy to see because I split the graph in two. That suggests that only one half of the pattern can be a cipher, the other is simply a reversed copy. The symmetry can probably also be used to clean up this otherwise rather noisy data. Too bad I did not give you the data used to generate the graph, because I'm lazy.

Is there a message encoded in this pattern, a message that will bring us closer to unveiling the secrets of the series? No, there is not.

I thought someone had finally deciphered that video...

Right now I think that there is simply nothing there left to be deciphered. The pattern of blinks looks almost completely random to me. There's no structure in it that I can see. If there was some information in it, any at all, it would show itself. But all I could find there was that garbage. Symmetrical garbage, to be sure. I don't think there's anything in it. Could be wrong.

Decided to read the original Marble Hornets trailhead here. I have to say, it's strange reading their speculation through the lense of hindsight. Have any of you ever done something similar? Read an old journal of yours or maybe a family member's, perhaps?

I tried reading my great grandfather's journal, but it was just a bunch of frantically scribbled 1s and 0s, and all the 0s had Xs going through them... not sure what that was all about.

As soon as I read "great grandfather's journal", my brain immediately went to Mother.

I've read some of that very trailhead, certainly. Always hilarious to see some old theories, like that so many people seemed to think Masky was TTA was Alex, etc.

But my favorite has got to be the discussions of when the series would end, because like 15 entries in they're already discussing how the series is probably coming to a close because "how much longer could they possibly make it?"
