I'm desperately hoping thinking this season is probably going to be longer than the other two. I don't see how they could wrap up all the loose ends in less than 26 entries at the pace they're currently going. I mean, we're more than ten entries into the season and hardly anything has happened yet, it feels like the story just started to pick up a little.

I agree. This season feels like it has barely even started yet even though we're 13 entries into it. I don't see how they could possibly wrap everything up in 13 or less entries. If they do that it'll definitely feel rushed.

I'd probably do the same.

Trosephim said there's no set amount of episodes from season three; the first two twenty-six episode seasons were the same span by coincidence. So I wouldn't worry about it.

I doubt that it'll be another 26 episode season, too, but keep in mind that the entries have been getting longer lately. 13 more episodes at 10 minutes long each would be more than two hours - plenty of time to wrap everything up. Lots of feature films do more complicated plots than MH in that amount of time. And we'll probably get more than just 13 entries, so yeah, don't sweat it.

I'm as impatient as anybody, but I think this delay feels a little easier to handle than the last few, because 65 didn't end on them saying, "We're going to do X, right now!" They didn't set us up for immediate follow-up and then leave us hanging.

Random question that isn't really Season 3 specific, although I don't think it's worthy of it's own thread...

Does anyone know why Jay's username was "Ce gars" on SomethingAwful?
I always just kinda assumed it meant Cigars, especially because I always pronounced it like the Farsi "Ceegarr", but it just seems like it's too random. That might be the point, though.Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but I'd rather get it out there that I think it's something of note, especially because we're far from figuring everything out that there is to figure out.

It's Troy's username, not Jay's, and it means "This guy".

I thought it was a play on the word "cigars." Wait, I thought that the SomethingAwful thread where he posted as Ce Gars was where the Marble Hornets canon officially began...?

It was. That post was in character. Though I don't think that post is cannon because Jay obviously knows nothing about slendy

So even though its where the canon began, and it was in character, it's no canon.

I think we should consider it semi-cannon. Because it has important back story in that post. But we should ignore the line about being reminded of slender man (even though I always thought that line was forced: "my friend had tapes that he acted strangely about and I've never seen, but now that I've heard about this slender man, I think those tapes are important")

So yes. Cannon in the back story. Not cannon in why he uploaded the videos. And the user name means nothing, because that was his somethingawful user name for a year before marble hornets.

"Cannon" is artillery weaponry that launches heavy objects propelled by gunpowder (or black powder) and causes damage by merit of inertial force.

"Canon" is "gospel," or the official, authoritative version of a story.

Damn you are certainly correct. I started writing canon and second guessed myself. Thanks for correcting my folly

Last night and this morning, I got to introduce a friend of mine to the series, and he loves it.

We only got up to Entry #63 together, but he's going to finish watching it when he gets home from work.
