Alright I called the number. I didn't take down a full transcript because there was nothing earth-shattering.

A recorded message asks you to state your name so that you can be connected to Alex. The phone rings and another recording begins this time from Alex's mother. She basically says we are all worried about Alex. She received a message that simply said Mom, I'm OK but she doesn't think that's true. She says that the last thing on Alex's browser before he disappeared was "whatisstork". She wants us to leave a message if we have any info.

 		Ok - I'm a total n00b (floated on the Flynn Lives, but never posted!), so i might be posting stuff that's already known, but I've looked about and this seems to be a legit study being done by University of Chicago.

On the T&C's for signing up to the STORKWATCH board, Patrick Jagoda is one of the "Doctors Directing Research". Quick google found:

I noticed the T&C, but that may be a case of tinag (This Is Not A Game). whatisstork.com used a private registration, but finallevel.net (where the storkwatch forums are located) did not. If it were an actual study by the University of Chicago, you'd think the forums would be hosted on a site registered by them. That's not to say that the registrant is not associated with this professor. Something to think about while waiting for the countdown to hit zero, anyhow...
