People... I have the solution! Increase the price of cameras. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the question "what's a good, but cheap camera?". If the price of cameras go up, then there will be less series. PROBLEM SOLVED! Cool

Brilliant!

I will write to Best Buy now and demand that they only sell RED cams
(people still buy things there, right?)

I wouldn't go as far as red cameras. Perhaps DSLR's with HD video recording. And last time I bought something there, it was overpriced and shitty! (it was an ND filter. $25 and it hardly did ANYTHING.)

Best Buy should just admit what they are and turn their entire store into a place that houses video game demos.

In all seriousness though, I actually think we'd be better off encouraging more creators to get involved, rather than less. After all, creators are, by definition, fans. But they're fans that stand the greatest chance of bringing in other fans.

Which brings me back to my first post and helping creators market their series better.

Eh, while I'm all for people making whatever it is they want to make, I feel like explicitly encouraging it in such a style is backwards.

Brings to mind a joke my friend told me, something along the lines of "Tharol being the only non-creator on UnFiction."

Ha! Well if that's true (and I've never made one either, so I'll lean toward 'no' Razz), we sure don't act like a community of fellow creators. One thing that's missing is frequent discussion about the craft. Sure, you see a rare "How do I 'x'?" thread or a tutorial thread pop up now and again - more often than you'd ever expect to see them pop up in a normal fan forum. But in a creator-centric forum, those kinds of threads should dominate the front page, and be filled with replies.
